State-run companies of Pakistan and China have finalised a 30-year tariff at 7.9 cents per unit for $2.4 billion Kohala Hydropower Project of 1,100MW capacity in Azad Kashmir.
17 per cent return. Ensured. Not bad at all!
The real killing is 5,000 GW-Hr per year at 8 cents per KW-Hr is about $7.2 billion over 18 years (and $12 billion over the 30-year life of the project). Not bad for a $2.4 billion project.

Thats quite a better if not perfect tariff considering its for span of 30 years, I must say.
Kpk can be persuaded but Sindh will never accept itThis is the best time to raise the issue of Kalabagh Dam in Parliaments and every available forum. Indian threats of water treaty can be a blessing for Pakistan.
Sindhi doesnt even know whats going on its just jagirdar whos having plenty of water for their lands.. people from Karachi paying 1500 to 3000 for water tank what are they getting out of no Kalabagh..Kpk can be persuaded but Sindh will never accept it
It'll cost you $12 billion over the 30 years. That isn't good at all. We pay something like 4 cents kWh.

Kohala HydroPower Project
Land acquisition for 1124 MW Kohala Hydropower project is expected to be completed in December as 70% land has already been acquired, a news source reported. The hydropower plant is to be constructed on River Jhelum and it is the biggest project that falls under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
It is expected that development work on the project will formally start in March 2019. Kohala Hydro power Plant will produce 1124 megawatts of electricity, while the project will complete in seven years. The project is being looked after by a company falling under China Three Gorges Corporation. The same company will manage the project for 30 years, after which it will hand over the power plant to Pakistan.
