Hey @nuclearpak @mafiya @Aeronaut @F.O.X @nabil_05 @TaimiKhan @Luftwaffe @DESERT FIGHTER & @Last Hope : If this RPG can have an Armor Penetration of 650 mm ERA at a, admittedly lesser range, then what value does a system like the Baktar Shikan provide to us with its similar Armor Penetration at admittedly greater ranges ? Shouldn't we expect an ATGM unit like the Baktar Shikan to at least give us much better Armor Penetration than an RPG even at larger ranges ?

Those are two different systems, Baktar Shikan is an ATGM which means greater range while RPG-32 is an unguided anti tank missile. The later is lighter, smaller, cheaper, easier to use/hide/carry and most importantly it is produced in massive numbers. 60 thousand RPG-32 is going to be produced in Jordan every year.

Given the facts,,, it means Baktar shikan employ explosive warhead of small yield that's why it has 500 mm or 600 mm penetration capability as compare to 650 mm capability of HEAT (High explosive anti tank) warhead employed on RPG.

Baktar shikan can penetrate more provided if it's explosive warhead is of higher yield but it will increase the overall weight of baktar shikan which is already stand at 20-30KG and difficult to carry and move around in battlefield, that's why in most pics i see baktar shikan either employed on a jeep or in a fixed configuration instead of being carried on shoulders

i agree,

Even if they wanted they can add Ir guidance to the RPG32 and it wont effects its weight that much, I know BK is combat proven but its heavy as hell you need 4 soilders to carry one unit

but rpg32 can be carried by one soilder and has limited range compared to BK, but greater range the the rpg-7

But pakistan also produces rpg-7 which Can penetrate armour but its only good for about 200 meters

That was the plan to create a portable ATGM with better penetration capability like Indian NAA portable ATGM but funding crunch let down the program
