Kill Switch Killed in Kamra

Hi,

What a bull-crap post windy---.

I thought you would be saying that pakistani engineers broke thru the link that transferred data to the americans which would restrict control of the americans on the aircraft if they wanted to---.

Or that the pakistani engineers found the gizmo boz that gave control to the american---.

I am surprised at the level of illiteracy amonsgt the pakistani fan boys for a lack understand what a proverbial " kill switch " does.
Yea, every F-16 operator must have visited you car garage for advise that you consider yourself above others.
As a senior PAF officer told me, technically there is a chip even in your mobile phone so what's the big deal if there is one in the aircraft system.....it may give location of the aircraft to the mothership but that doesn't mean they switch off your engine mid flight.

I think i once saw an image of a Greek F-16 cockpit displaying GPS co-ordinates on top-right panel. Is it possible that PAF F-16's GPS co-ordinates are also relayed/available to US? In war its a great advantage for an adversary to know where your assets are specifically located. In case of a full fledged war with India, if US decides to share that intelligence with India, then IAF would know exactly where to target their air raids and what data to feed the infamous spice.
Why do you think GPS is free for many. Cacha Sam like to collect data, pal pal ki kaber, her pal ki kaber. No, they won’t give it to Indians, may be when their own interest is engaged.

.
many years back there was an interview of a PAF F-16 pilot in which he mentioned about some sort of digital locks on certain avionics systems and pakistanis cant do anything about them. he also mentioned about monitoring and tracking devices that may be hidden somewhere in other systems which our engineers cant look into. PAF inducted the block 52 jets in 2010 and now in 10 years china has made lots of progress and they have become the second air force to induct fifth gen jets. it seems americans have lowered their guards regarding these F-16s and have relaxed restrictions as these F-16s dont have anything which chinese cant match. chinese have developed better radars then the APG 68 V9 and the PL15 beats the AIM 120 C or any other US or european AIM .

Shahbaz probably has the most colourful structure.

i think the photographer has added colors to the photos otherwise these protective structures have to be well camouflaged.

There is no denying that Hindustan got gobsmacked on the 27th. The Americans could do little to appease India.

There is a reason why PAF is investing in JF-17s and other joint ventures.

Question the sub systems in the F-16 are maintained in Pakistan or sent back to the US if their are issues?

Exactly. I asked the same thing last year while sitting in a Block 52 cockpit at Shahbaz. And i received the same reply from the OC. I was showed some measures which were used by US, but it was nowhere near like some would say...kill switch.

Thats me sitting in the cockpit asking alot of questions, as usual. Later, the F-16 and DB-110 simulators was much more fun.

Lucky guy! :)

there must be a tracking device on these jets. its even in the mobile phones so its impossible that such bugs are not there in F-16 or in any other air craft. but the question arises why US will give those coordinates to india?? so that india can destroy our air force quickly and pakistan's threshold of using nukes will be lowered and then we will be left with no choice but to destroy whole region completely.

So you get to sit in an actual F-16 while we are only to see in pictures....Lucky you sir!

You friend are more than lucky. I have relatives who have been pilots at PAF and have probably never sat in a F-16 cockpit. Must have been a splendid experience.

Pakistan can use the F-16 as it wishes, more or less, except basing them with Chinese aircraft.

That is a completely different issue than kill switches.

Kill switches mean that the US can, if they choose to, disable or degrade the functionality of the F-16s. Turkey found bugs in their F-16s. If US can do that to Turkey, somehow respectable members find it hard to believe it won't happen to PAF, because... "Pakistan Stronk".

This is blind patriotism and not based on an objective analysis of reality.

thats the charm, the opportunities one gets being part of the Armed Forces.....i've been in aircraft, frigates, destroyers, subs (really), merchant navy ships.....this all apart from the army platforms....

there can be never ending conspiracies. i present a new conspiracy here. there is a "chip" in russian RD 93 engine in JFT which can stop the engine from functioning at any given moment during flying and the air craft will come down like a stone. the russian will activate those "chips" when there will be a war between india and pakistan.:D

...and of course we shouldnt forget that episode involving AMRAAMS...that engagement between Turkey and Greece...

Posting this thread based on the above image which was specially shared by the operator.
For many years, we were led to believe that PAF can not use it's F-16s without American approval, well 27th Feb. 2019 saw that myth shattered, however, the naysayers weren't finished yet and kept insisting that the PAF's new Block-52 are constantly monitored by US Personal who will not allow these jets to be deployed operationally other than from their dedicated home base. Also even the PAF Airchief's ride for 23rd March is thoroughly monitored before being allowed to operate from elsewhere. Well, i guess people in PAF do also come across these ludicrous claims. The above image should put an end to these misconceptions. As can be seen it's a fully armed PAF F-16 Block-52 operating out of Kamra.
Dear Sir,

It is FASHION in current times to see (or invent) a Conspiracy Theory in relation to any theme of significance. Motive can be personal (to score brownie points in a discussion; seeking attention; publicity), or even agenda-driven (to create misunderstandings between different actors). This is an unfortunate tradition and also against Islamic principles for sharing information.

An F-16 fighter jet was used by PAF to shoot down an Indian UAV as far back in 2002.

Similarly, an F-16 fighter jet was used by PAF to intercept an intruding IAF Mig-29 fighter jet in 2008; Indian aircraft had to abort its mission or risk getting shot down.

Whenever the situation called for it, F-16 have delivered results and never failed PAF. Political considerations notwithstanding, WE should be thankful to Allah Almighty and appreciate those actors who helped improve Pakistani armed forces from time-to-time.

There is no kill switch in F-16s, please don't open another pandora box.
which may cause hurdles for F-16s future upgrades.

@MastanKhan Its hard for them to swallow that their front like fight can be easily compromised. People are uploading random pic to prove their credibility or make a point, non of which address the actual issue. While my post being deleted. Nonetheless I have another Show for the gullible Folks.

Jadoo guys
