Islamabad—PML-N and ANP have reportedly reached a consensus over the new name for NWFP, as Pakhtoonkhwa Hazara.

Sources have announced that a meeting of specially formed committee of PML-N and ANP Parliamentarians, convened by PML-N’s Sartaj Aziz, which also included Haji Adeel, Sardar Mehtab, Zahid Khan, Saranjam Khan, and Sabir Shah. The meeting unanimously decided in favour of renaming the name of NWFP; something that should be acceptable to Provincial aspirations. Expressing their reservations over the title of Pakhtoonkhwa as the new name of NWFP, PML-N informed ANP, that Frontier was home not only to Pakhtoons, but also housed many other ethnic community as well; who also deserved to be represented.

The committee presented a variety of names out of which, Pakhtoonkhwa Hazara was accepted by majority.It was also decided to announce the decision soon, and both parties would maintain a perpetual consensus over this issue. —Online

I am not quite sure, but i reckon it was Nawaz Sharif who opposed the name Pakhtoonkhwa during his priemership despite all the efforts from ANP.

Lot of Punjabis and Kashmiris are also living in NWFP , also add two more names

Pakhtoon Hazara Punjabi Kashmiri Khwa will be better name

In khohat ,Bunu Peshawar,dera ismail khan,mianwali majority population speak hindko (punjabi)

Punjab means land of five rivers , all pushtoon,sindhis,balochi and kashmiri living in Punjab .

We are all muslim and Pakistanis , provinces should not be named on basis of race colour or tribe.

Yes we consider them all Pakistanis as well ,we have ex CJ from Hindu minority group

many pushtoon ,sindhi and balochis are also have same thinking.

In Northern Punjab ie mianwali,attock majority is pushtoon, in central punjab gujrat ,lahore, Kashmiris and gujar, rajput and jatt are in majority, in south punjab ,balouchis are in majority.

Stupid people of this country seriously! Today we should unite ourself against our Enemy but unfortuntly our people even add more boost in Enemy agenda..
