The fact remains that these people are now afraid of voices that have opened up against them. The question is whether it will make more voices upon up or shut them up permanently.

The Mullah hates dissent and more so on religion because that is his only reason for importance and existence.
These schools are a blot on the face of the Muslim world.. all of them..all sects. Religion has been perfected 1500 years ago and its our own to worry about..not some Mullah who tells you what he thinks its about.

We need to stop these attacks as they severely affect morale in our society. Taliban should be crushed and punished severely. Terrorism has to be rooted out of our society completely and without mercy or this cult will eat us alive.

He might be targeted on sectarian ground. He was a very vocal personality From shia community.

He must be under observation of hard liners of other sect.

they kill our soldiers and attack government institutions, kill children, and attack schools. We are working against them...
When these people kill a certain sect, why do they complain like nothing is being done, like it is a simple wave of the magic wand and everything is fixed.
This nation was built on sacrifice, if the people that reside here today were there at that time, they would just argue and fight over what it was to be Pakistani, which sect was really Pakistani and what should be done to make sects get a country.
Enough of the self pity, we need a united nation which can fight against sectarian voices, a nation which understands that some may give more sacrifices then others but it does not mean the other people do not feel their pain. Or that they wanted this to happen.
You can either be like a dramatic woman in dramas and beat your chest and cry about how it is only you, or understand a parasite is being fought and it will swing out while it dies away. Take care, take precautions, and understand that when you speak out against these extremists they will try and kill you. Extremists have the loudest voice because they shout while we talk, but the number of loving Pakistanis who understand the value of human life and dignity, what ever the religion is, is much greater... The silent majority is who you should have your faith in and hope our armed forces cleanse our nation from this murdering menace.
The man who died understood the risks and stood up for a cause, and you all belittle his efforts by fighting over his death, trying to create disharmony in a nation which has already lost so much. Grow up and read @DESERT FIGHTER signature and learn from it. All blood spilled in Pakistan is something to be sad over, who ever does it is wrong and we are fighting those elements.
@Oscar please announce a clear ban on sectarian extremist views. Maybe the new comers learn something good from this forum when they see Pakistanis on this thread, not different sects vying to control this nation and wrap their tentacles around using violence and intimidation, who believe in division rather then unity.

May his soul REST in Peace but ...
...He was Pakistani from look, but his loyalties were for country who is involved in sectarian violence in Pakistan...may he get in after life what he deserve...leave final matter in the hands of God. :coffee:

Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius.

("Kill them. For the Lord knows those that are His own.")
Wikipedia:

Arnaud Amaury or Arnaud Amalric (died 1225) was a Cistercian abbot who took a prominent role in the Albigensian Crusade [which targeted dissident Christians, not Muslims - Solomon2]. He is most remembered for allegedly advising a soldier, who was worrying about killing orthodox Catholics along with the heretics during the sack of the Cathar stronghold of Béziers, Caedite eos. Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius. ("Kill them. For the Lord knows those that are His own.")...This is the origin of the modern phrase, "Kill them all and let God sort them out."
Criticism: this callous approach to human life throws down the scales of justice, excusing its enablers and executioners from all requirements for investigation and any accusations of criminal conduct, conflict of interest, etc.

Why the heck should Zaki rest in peace, any more than Banquo's ghost?

When Kennedy and Reagan were shot, the response of the politicians was to implement the programs they advocated quickly and in full, to show that assassination could not stop their political programs.

This is how you end up in Pakistan after you dare the mullah brigade in this country.

There will thousands in Pakistan who will mourn his loss but there will be hundreds of thousands who will celebrate this.

Don't even have to go to pages/forums of extremist mindset....just take a look at an Urdu page of a mainstream website and people will be celebrating the killing of this "shia rafzi".
You don't have to go anywhere .. Just view the follow up posts in this thread.

You should never expect the general Pakistan public to raise their voice against what has been a sustained campaign to target a sect just based on their beliefs.

I say this as a Sunni but what you will mostly get is a tacit approval of these killings or at most a simple R.I.P with a “BUT” in the end explaining the crimes of the “victim” as can be seen here.

This is shocking but what was more shocking was the murder of a Shia lady doctor in Peshawar two weeks back along with her father-in-law.

This person looks like he was active in the community but with cases like what happened in Peshawar you see ordinary people being targeted.

Professionals like doctors, ex military, lawyers being singled out……there is a thought process and a strategic brain behind these actions.

Granted that their plans will never succeed but the intention of the people behind these actions is alarming….if they had their way we would be looking at a mass scale genocide.

I sometimes get angry at this Bakh guy or some of my Shia friends especially from Parachinar with all their sucking up to Iran….but these people are looking at a foreign power because they are seeing their own countrymen stand by and watch them being killed and unfortunately as seen here and even more so on the comment section of Urdu media, standby and watch with glee.

We are living in a society where tolerance level is lowest, a small word can lead to any big accident, Mr Khurram Zaki with such messages instigated a group, or caught attention of elements who want to create sectarian crises in the country. One should be careful in selection of words. I don't think if someone with similar feelings can survive in Iran.

A writer has more responsibilities than a common man in the society. May His soul rest in Peace and may his family get courage and strength to survive this loss.

We need to enhance our tolerance level, and create brotherhood in the society.

He had quite a sectarian mindset judging from his posts and in our society it ultimately bites one no matter to which sect he belongs...Any how may he R.I.P

Just like salman taseer Any one who peacefully stood for minorities be ethnic or religious Pakistanis will give them lead .. What a sham this place is now , in his last post on facebook he address pakistanis and said :

""Sadiq Khan is not a Pakistani. He is a Britisher. Credit for his rise and success goes to his own hard work and the equal opportunity quality of the British system. Pakistan and Islam have played no role in his meteoric rise. And he has proved for all British Muslims and Brits of other ethnicities that anyone who blames that system as biased and discriminatory that they are lazy and liars.

I am celebrating the greatness of Western Secular Democracy. In this day and age of Takfiri Deobandi/Wahabi terrorism and Islamophobia, London has risen above discrimination and bigotry and emerged as great centre of human civilisation setting a great example for the world. Can we ever elect an Ahmadi or Hindu or Christian PM? Forget that, we have deprived all legal powers and discretions of a democratically elected Mayor of the third largest city in the world (Karachi) on the basis of ethnicity.""

And it's so stupid and shameful of us Pakistanis that we run down humiliate our own successes like Malala and Sharmeen."

nd next he was killed in cold blood by assassins , unarmed just like thousands of others

It's like mercy is only for the Prophet or big shots while the little guys get out their frustrations by being as intolerant as possible. Mohammed or Taseer can have doubts about justice, but not the @Zarvan s and @salarsikander s.

Zaki must have known how unlikely it was that the State would seek out any assassins. Why didn't he arm himself? After all, these killers are not brave people: they traveled in a group and were bent on escape. A sidearm would have been a deterrent.

.
I salute to this brave guy for standing up for the right cause and he is a martyr. The culprits must be apprehended immediately.

Any idea or your opnion who did this?
Some Taliban in Pakistan claimed the responsibility.

You do not elect even a Muslim, not to speak of minorites. The only qualification in Pakistan to become PM is to have a lots of money; through corruption or whatever...nobody cares.. Muslim or not ..i guess nobody cares....Can anyone speak so many lies after taking oath and doing corruption and still be a Muslim...noo...no way
