Khobragade to USA: You have lost a good friend. In return, you got a maid and drunken driver

Congratz! Score was a lot closer than I thought it was going to be. Good game though!

I don't think Seahawks played that hard. They are taking it easy with their game plans as they want to work back Percy Harvin. Now, he is gone again. So they have to work very hard again without him. The receivers will really need to step up. The defense were great as usual. We are waiting for 9ers and Panthers to beat up each other before they get here.

United States of Arrogance untill 2025 when the dollar shall turn turtle.

Khobragedea...now that u ve safely landed in India, shut up your mouth and get to to work...our support was not with you but the pride of a nation attached to your posting...

India government turned the blind eyes toward India law to appease foreigner station in India, took Khobragade case for the whole world to see how Indian spit on their own justice system and disregard to the law of their nation.
Now that is true....

ya this is ridiculous that maid said she is underpaid or given less wage and then you strip search a diplomat ??
what she was hiding money some where your searching in private parts?

i mean wtf USA you are out of mind or mad ?

She just repeating what india stood out to communicate, no more no less. Otherwise, media would not have been there. US sure got the message. Question is would US understand type of "strategic-partner" india is and can be?

The Question here is what kind of strategic partner USA is to India??

The United States is India's largest export market.

Yes USA is India's largest export market and also helped India in IT sector I am not denying that, But the entire episode is a fault of USA and so the question about USA's policy towards India :)

Her arrest was consistent with all legislative requirements.

She was NOT a diplomat, she was only on consul visa until 8 January when she was upgraded as a Indian diplomat.

This entire episode shows Indian government respect towards its own laws. It is highly likely that the only reason she was upgraded to diplomat was because of the arrest, and in order to get her out of that. It is very unlikely she was appointed a diplomat on a professional and factual basis.

Her remark that you lost a friend and got a maid comment just shows what these people think of people at the lower end.she seems a stuck up female dog.
That's her father's remark, not hers. In case you hadn't noticed, the Khobragades aren't very truthful people.

No, USA got rid of a person who lied on official forms for personal benefit. Not much of a diplomat given that fact. Good riddance!
Yep. She wasn't representing India, only herself; furthermore, she mis-used her job to her personal benefit. Her most brilliant success was twisting stuff around to make it seem like she was representing India and thus deserved the support of her fellow citizens, rather than their condemnation.

First : The issue is not about DK or Maid's allegations. It is about Bilateral relations between India and USA. So the issue was taken up as National dignity and India's stature on international arena.

Second : She was shifted to UN mission to bring her back to India, the issue of Maid allegations is still with Indian authorities, The trial is still pending if the maid pursues the case.

Third: Her appointment as Diplomat in future depends on India laws.

Her arrest for exploiting her maid is a civil personal matter and not the concern of the Indian foreign relation.

Even if she had diplomatic immunity from the start and the US state department brought up these issues with India.

The more professional response from the Indian government should have been waive her immunity and appoint someone else into her position of representing India. Weather she goes to Jail in the US for 15 year is not the concern of Indian foreign policy, this is her personal concern.

The US has done nothing to condescending towards India 'national dignity' during this episode.

This is more of an issue of bilateral relationship than US laws, USA tried to bully India and India gave its response, India can also do the same to US Diplomats who are violating n number of rules here in India.

You are misrepresenting the facts.

She was NOT and Indian diplomat, only from 8 January she become a diplomat.

Diplomats enjoy immunity from prosecution not consul staff.

India cannot prosecute US diplomats, but can prosecute US consul staff.

The US government would not care about India prosecuting US consul staff for criminal offenses they have committed. Protecting criminals is not the concern of the US foreign policy.
