One might think this one needs to drink again from the poison cup like his predecessor. But as is, another absolute ruler will replace the current one. A system that places an absolute ruler above the law - in practice - promotes corruption. As they say, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Clerics are clerics, they are not representatives of a Supreme Being, they have a huge ego like most people, but more dogma, and a tendency to claim that all their acts are guided by "God", no matter how evil they act.

Unfortunately the tendency towards forcefully imposing opinions and dogma, dictatorship, has not been eliminated from our culture, during Shah, and during this so-called republic.

A lot of people here unfortunately don't know what they are talking about here. As a Shia, I know exactly who Khamenei is, & that he is not the same person as Khomeni. Khomeni was the pioneer of the Iran's Islamic Revolution in the 80s, whereas Khamenei is the "Supreme Leader/Grand Ayatollah" in Iran today. There is a concept of Taqleed in Shiism, & most Shias either do Mr Khamenei's taqleed, or Mr Sistani's taqleed in Iraq. To be honest, I'm not really a proponent of Taqleed, but that's a separate issue, even though it is one of the reasons why Khamenei's authority cannot be questioned in my opinion.

If no one can question Khamenei, than he is a dictator by definition!

Truth is this forum is full of munafiqas...... some people have the opportunity to meet Iranians either in or out of Iran and despite learning about truth first hand, they keep lying on mass media.

How can Allah forgive such person?

What you see in the pictures above is the stark reality.

Only 1 in 100 Iranian would vote for Khamenai's candidate, but still he won elections!
Cheaters, treacherors and munfiqs can never be Muslims.

As i always says, Iran regime is the biggest deception and biggest fitna ever born in the history of earth.

Iran needs a complete different form of government for it realise its potential. Mullahs don't know anything about economics, education, commerce, industrial policy or even international relations. They should stay in Qom and let the politicians run the government.
