General Wynne calls on President

ISLAMABAD, Sep 29 (APP): Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) designate General Khalid Shamim Wyne called on President Asif Ali Zardari at the Aiwan-e-Saddar Wednesday. The President felicitated General Khalid Shamim on his promotion and on being appointed as Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee. President Asif Ali Zardari had appointed him as Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) on the advice of Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, Tuesday.
Lt. Gen. Khalid Shamim Wyne, who was serving as Chief of General Staff, has been promoted as General. CJCSC General Tariq Majid is set to retire on Oct 8.
