Khalid ibn waleed ( The sword of Allah)

Prophet Muhammad [saw]:

"The people will soon summon one another to attack you as people when eating invite others to share their dish.

Someone asked:
Will that be because of our small numbers at that time?

He[saw] replied: No, you will be numerous at that time: but you will be scum and rubbish like that carried down by a torrent, and Allah will take fear of you from the breasts of your enemy and last enervation into your hearts.

Someone asked:
What is wahn (enervation) o Messenger of Allah [saw]?

He[saw] replied:
Love of the world and dislike of death. "

Thawban in Abu Dawud : Book 37 : Hadith 4284

Khalid bin waleed was indeed one the most successful Generals of all times , he as a general truly stands in the ranks of People like Sallah ud din ayobi , Noor uddin Zangi and Tariq bin ziyad.

Thanks for Posting.

Brother Khalid bin waleed was sahabi of R.A and we can't compare Sahabah with non sahabih as Quran said about them and as well as Rasool Allah that they are the best people of all time and then people who will be with Imam Mahdi and Hazrat Issa

The Battle of Yarmouk can be seen as an example in military history where an inferior force by superior generalship manages to overcome a superior force.

Although Yarmouk is little known today, it is one of the most decisive battle in human history...... Had Heraclius' forces prevailed, modern world could be so changed as to be unrecognizable

Battle of Yarmouk is one the Most Key War in the history of Islam ..

Khalid bin Walid The Greatest general in Islamic History ....

Hazrat UMAR (R.A) changed the command from Khalid bin Waleed just so that the muslims don't start believing in Khalid's abilities MORE than the help of Allah in winning battles!!

Quotes of Khalid ibn al-Walid & Speeches

I heard that Khalid was not a muslim initialy and became one after repeated requests by the prophet.

You are a moron...

The love for the holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is what made Khalid Bin Waleed (Rad) accept the truth of Islam!

Khalid Bin Waleed (Rad) recognized the errors of his past, and when God blessed him with faith he became a new man and accepted the truth... The holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and Khalid Bin Waleed (Rad) were friends, and Khalid Bin Waleed (Rad) dedicated his life in servitude to the holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) who is the most honourable and greatest of all God's creation!

Mind the words mate, not a right way to answer.

yes he wasn't Muslim in start, was from a royal family of Arab (Makka), he fought against Muslims in Battle of Uhad and his tactics worked alot in that battle where because of his one tactical move, they managed to turn the lost battle into a victory over Muslims..

However till this battle he wasn't aware of the preachings of Islam, thus after several years from this battle, when the preachings of Islam came to him, he eventually took interest in Islam and thus went to Madina to meet Holy Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) and thus became Muslim after this meeting..

However you claim that he became Muslim after repeated requests from Prophet (s.a.w) is totally wrong, it was his own interest in Islam and Prophet never requested or invited him towards islam..

He travelled from Makka to Madina to meet Prophet to learn about Islam, and after meeting him, Khalid finally became Muslim.

how can a man become such a loyal person if he is handed over through a peace treaty..? He fought for Islam for countless times, and won several wars for Muslims.. how come its possible if the person wasn't willing to do so..?

Better stay outta here if you are unable to digest simple things. Happy staying in ur fancy life..

Whats up with religious discussion here on PDF??

Is it offensive to you..? :what:
BTW its not religious discussion, we are discussing about a person, a warrior and a legendary leader.. No one preaching his religion here..

however i welcome you to PDF, better way to start off is to go in Members Introduction Section and introduce yourself there..

Conversion to Islam

A peace agreement of ten years was concluded between the Muslims and Quraysh of Mecca at the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah in 628. It has been recorded that Prophet Muhammad told Khalid's brother, Walid bin Walid, that: "A man like Khalid, can't keep himself away from Islam for long".[12] Walid wrote letters to Khalid persuading him to convert. Khalid, who was not unduly drawn towards the idols of the Kaaba, decided to convert to Islam and is said to have shared this matter with his childhood friend Ikrimah ibn Abi-Jahl who opposed him. Khalid was threatened by Abu Sufyan ibn Harb with dire consequences, but was restrained by Ikrimah who is reported to have said: "Steady, O Abu Sufyan! Your anger may well lead me also to join Muhammad. Khalid is free to follow whatever religion he chooses".[13] Some time in May 629, Khalid set out for Medina. On the way he met 'Amr ibn al-'As and Uthman ibn Talha, who were also going to Medina to convert to Islam. They arrived at Medina on May 31, 629 and went to the house of Muhammad. Khalid was received by his elder brother Walid bin Walid and was first among the three men to enter Islam.[14]

well rather then trying to force your own make believes onto others, better not to poke your nose where it dont beling. The short article that you had posted rebuffs your own claim. It says that

It has been recorded that Prophet Muhammad told Khalid's brother, Walid bin Walid, that: "A man like Khalid, can't keep himself away from Islam for long".[12] Walid wrote letters to Khalid persuading him to convert.

Now it only mentions that the Prophet Mohammed PBUH said to Walid bin Walid

"A man like Khalid, can't keep himself away from Islam for long"

And it was Khalid bin Walid's brother who wrote him the letter. So your point that you are so insistent on dont stand a ground. And what do you know about the history of Islam, better troll some where else.
