Yeah but in this case it looks like we made a judgemental error. Now all of this could have been orchestrated, but in that case we are just sitting silent? The news is now even on CNN.com. And if it is not orchestrated and Khwaja Sahib replied to a fake story it tells the world we give knee jerk responses without fact checking. And a nuclear armed country doing this is highly disconcerting. Malicious people can start crying about the 'safety of our nukes'. Why give them the opportunity to open their mouths? And finally, here is a conspiracy theory: Khwaja Asif himself is in cahoots with our enemy and gave this response to malign us. The ISI should look into this matter...

Nothing to do with ISI. A representative of Pakistan has informed an enemy of Pakistan that we too have nukes and the enemy will face dire consequences if it ever tried to use nukes on us. No big deal, in fact it is a solid and sensible response to an incredible statement. Its good to remind these genociders and enemies of the Pakistani people that unless they change their ways with Muslim people then they will have to face the Pakistani people directly.

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif tweeted a veiled nuclear threat at Israel, apparently after taking affront at a fake news article where Israel purportedly warned Islamabad against meddling in Syria.

“Israeli defence minister threatens nuclear retaliation presuming Pak role in Syria against Daesh. Israel forgets Pakistan is a nuclear state too,” the minister tweeted on Friday.

Israel Radio said Saturday that Asif was responding to a fake news story on the website AWDnews.com, which falsely reported that Israel responded to a Pakistani promise to send troops to Syria with a threat of nuclear attack.

The unfounded story even mistakenly attributes the threat to Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon. Ya’alon left the Defense Ministry in May and was replaced by current Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman.

Israel has never publicly confirmed or denied possessing nuclear weapons, nor issued threats to use nuclear weapons. It would be beyond unlikely for it to brazenly threaten Pakistan that “we will destroy them with a nuclear attack,” as the report claimed that Ya’alon did on Tuesday. Such ostensible comments by Ya’alon would have caused major headlines worldwide.

Asif’s tweet was roundly criticised on twitter, with many calling on him to act in a more responsible manner. “Oh Khawaja Saab, It’s a fake news from fake news outlets. Act like a Defence minister,” wrote one commentator. It’s not the first time Asif has brandished his country’s nuclear arsenal.

I beg to differ to most on this forum with regards to the response.

Khwaja Asif's response was excellent! And the Israeli reply was surprised and bewildered. Almost shaken. It's very rare to see the Israelis in that sort of state..... lol

India aside, this brilliant response by Khwaja Asif let's the world know that you cannot mess with or take Pakistan lightly. Whatever damage you can do to us we can do to you too + with interest.

The Israelis are not stupid enough to make Pakistan their enemy. They know what our REAL capabilities are. If we can deter an enemy nation that is more than 7x bigger than us and has abundant access to the world's most advanced weapons systems whilst we are denied this privilege for nearly 70 years then the Israelis are little chickens for us. The Israelis must remember that we are not Palestinians, WE are PAKISTANIS.

David Ben Gurion never threatened Pakistan. The quote you're referring to is fake and was manufactured in Egypt. David Ben Gurion personally contacted Jinnah to initiate a relationship with Pakistan.
