Seems reasonable.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said Monday that Syrian President Bashar Assad could prevent an attack on his country by turning over all chemical weapons to the international community within the next week.

In a press conference in London with his British counterpart William Hague, Kerry said that the evidence is compelling that Assad launched a chemical weapons attack. He said that the control of chemical weapons in Syria is restricted to only three people, including Assad.

Not sure if legit, but I guess so.

Seems there's some truth in all of this

BBC News - Syria crisis: Russia urges Assad to give up chemical weapons

Russia has asked Syria to put its chemical weapons stockpile under "international control" in a bid to avoid US military strikes, and then have them destroyed.

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the offer was made during talks with the Syrian foreign minister, and he hoped for a quick response from Damascus.

So if I have been killing thousands of people for 2.5 years some of them with chemical weapons and I just decide to turn all of the arsenal in to the international society after pressure, then I will be able to escape justice? Sounds logical indeed. Maybe in the fantasy universe of the insane such as the Child-Murderer (Al-Assad) and his likes that are obviously not in touch with reality.

They will not escape that easy. Their destiny is defeat whether they like it or not. It will come one way or another.

He won't as he might resort to use them for the 15th time. Forget about it.

See my last post, Russia is now telling him.

There is massive opposition to these strikes in the west. The people do not want it.

The people never mattered anyway. Look at the Iraq war.

Al-Assad is a Child-Murderer and a war criminal that needs to be put in place = removed for all eternity. His system, his supporters etc. They already brought enough of destruction in Syria.

Only the USA has the capacity to turn the civil war in the right direction with limited strikes and without a land invasion. All the remaining countries do not play any major role nor can they even if they wanted.

The Child-Murderer is gassing "his" own people and that must be stopped immediately.

It is precisely because of the Iraq fiasco that the people do not want it. Also the economic problems. People do not want to spend money on wars.

I know about Assad. I was telling everyone he was a criminal dictator years ago whilst you Arabs were lauding his 'resistance' to Israel.

So what? You think Assad will comply with everything the Russians say? C'mon.

Russia is the reason Assad is still in power. Without Russian support and veto, he's gone.

Not when it comes to making internal decisions :what:

As I said the common Joe does not matter. The same has been said throughout history before every major military action. The Americans know how important Syria is. It's not only about Syria and there are more players than just USA. You probably know all this. We also know which rouge states that are supporting the Child-Murderer and what "our" position is towards them.

Al-Assad was never popular in the Arab world. Also I don't know which "Syrian resistance" that you are referring to against Israel because there has not been any in the last 40 years, LOL. You have been occupying the Golan Heights (Syrian territory) for well over 40 years. Only country aside from Palestine when that is the case.

I never trusted that Pagan Al-Assad family. We knew about their actions before the Syrian conflict and about their allies.

Anyway we both know that he will be removed and what side Syria will end at. Ours.

Prosecuting criminals running Saudi Arabia is much more important now for all international community. Assad can be given immunity as he is a valuable witness.

He used to get accolades for hosting Hamas and letting them plan their attacks from Damascus. He also scored points for being Hezbollah's gateway to Iran.

Don't pretend Arabs were not behind him. It's true some still remembered what his father did, but he still enjoyed support for also being one of the few countries in the region that did not toe the American line (as some Arabs perceived it)

I agree he'll lose eventually, there's no doubt.

Well, I think that "support" was mostly limited to the Levant region (Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and partially Jordan). In the remaining Arab world he has hardly been noticeable nor has his policies been that well-known.

KSA there was indifference to him but not to Syria and the Syrian people whom we share ancestral, cultural, linguistic, religious etc. ties.

But yes he will get removed, Insha'Allah.

I say that's a good move if true - let the regional players sort it out among themselves and the world governing bodies should take away WMD's from the hands of these lunatics - whoever they may be. I don't think anybody would object to that.

Hezbollah, Iran, Kurds and the SAA are fighting against the AQ led FSA funded by the Arabs and the Turks - the west should leave it at that.
