But the point I was making and perhaps wrongly using this event to highlight was UAE/GCC have been the largest benefactors to India by a wide margin. The benefit Pakistan got out off UAE/GCC which it does, is peanuts compared to what India gets.

The bizzare reality is despite UAE/GCC being the biggest benefactor to India I notice Indian's keep a very balanced view of Gulf Arabs. On the contrary Pakistanis who get peanuts by comparison treat UAE/GCC as holy fathers. Mention UAE/GCC Arabs and most Pakistanis go all jiggy like a pre-pubescent teenager has seen his first eyefull of female breasts.

I think the reason is GCC/UAE have bough/purchased or corrupted Pakistani elite. They just buy our army officers, senior bureaucrats, politicians and that gives them enormous influence inside Pakistan. This means most Pakistanis when they get the peanuts treat them like a virgin has given them a shot of her udders. They lose all objectivity.


And the argumant that it's just 'business' is ball oxe. The Americans and Isreali's or the wider west are the worlds most business orientated cultures. But their international trade is heavily shaped by their politcs. Restricted trade with Iran even if billions are lost in trade but open the borders to Polish or East Europe simple because of the European connection.
