Kejriwal's Vision For India-From What he says in his book 'Swaraj'

Come on don't fool yourself. Do you really believe that those few Ex Congresies you mentioned go by AAP's philosophy ?? Their only philosophy is to stop Modi from becoming PM .

Congressmen can;t do much ,i have just read swaraj so i'm putting forward my opinion, that's it . :)

.
I dont think its his book you are quoting from, the guy comes off as intelligent albeit a demagogue! Kapil sibbal and arun jetleys of the world would rip him apart has he been proposing giving panchayats the power to dole out death sentence and arm amputation. It looks like written by a illiterate retard.

Can you pls post a valid link instead of Dropbox pdf.

Sir read carefully, punchayats are not allowed to dole out amputations and death.

It's not puchayat ,he doesn't like pachayat, any single or few persons taking decision means corruption according to him,he is proposing to give heavy powers to gram sabha.

Death penalty is not included :)

Here you go

Dropbox - Swaraj - By Arvind Kejriwal - English.pdf

The Gram Sabha prevents the Panchayat
from doing wrong things like misusing money or favouring certain people. It plays an important role in keeping an eye on the elected representatives and in making them responsible to the persons who elected them.

But ,it won't be practical without RTI at Punchayat level.

The more dangerous thing is not only gram sabha but also mohalla sabha's will be in task. Majoritarianism will be at work.
:-)

Everything from police to judicial system will be in mob's hand .

But that's what he says na

"
In this whole drama citizens have no powers except to lodge complaints against the thieves to thieves,
hoping for a stringent action that is rarely taken.

What we have started to understand is that the law of the land must empower the citizens so that

instead of making complaint against the theft of ration, the people themselves could punish the shop
keeper. The citizens must have direct control over the establishment where the decision of the people is
implemented by the government officers and political leaders.

Can this happen? Can one hundred and twenty crore people of this country be empowered to take

judicial decisions? "

True,that's exactly what gupta says:-)

"No wonder Prashant Bhushan wants a referendum in Kashmir on whether the army should stay there. He could have also called one in Ahmedabad in February 2002, when riots raged, on whether the army should be called out or not. Or in all of India, on whether Article 370 should continue. Or, we should have done a quick referendum, preferably through SMS and Facebook, on 26/11 and whether the “people” wanted us to go to war with Pakistan. Would you have? Swiss democracy is held up as an example of a perfect system. Just the other day, it banned the construction of Islamic minarets by referendum. And do you know when women got the right to vote in Switzerland? In 1971. Its parliament passed it in 1959, but it continued to be rejected by an all-male referendum."

I doubt AAPtards ever discuss these issues .

There is problem in system , no doubt about that but what he purposes is definitely not the solution.

"Gram sabhas will have the power to hire, fire, reward and punish all government employees, from policemen to doctors to teachers. Quick and exemplary punishment is the fundamental philosophy of this new “system”.

Gram sabhas will not have the power to pronounce the death sentence or amputation.

The instruments of governance, law enforcement, judiciary, executive, parliament, as we know them, shall cease to exist, or at least, to matter. The mob will be sovereign. The police will have to take orders from the mob. The mob, or the gram sabha or the mohalla sabha, will be able to levy and collect its own taxes.

No decision will be taken unless the “people” decide(referendum)."

@Puchtoon This portion, is this what Kejriwal said?
