You trying to justify AAP's action by comparing them with others.. & trying to say that AAP should be exempted from criticism 'cause other parties also guilty of similar crime. That is defeating the entire AAP objective. They have set themselves a very high standard & claims to have superior morals. That's why people question them whenever they give an opportunity to their critics. If it's more of the same.. then the whole logic behind AAP stands defeated!

He is right----there should be no bail amount for this issue---as there is no heinious crime committed and it is only a case of defamation.

The magistrate can set a precedence----Kejriwal is not escaping and this is simply a civil issue on a basis of " he says / she says "----,

See, in India accused don't get to question the court's order on streets, we have very high regards for our judiciary, court says 'get bailbond or go to jail', then that is final without any further argument. Anybody finding a problem with that should appeal to higher court.

It is a court procedure. Kejriwal missed his last hearing and did not answered his summons so court issued a bailable warrant against him. Now he refuse to either appear in court on pay bail bond.

If Court stops prosecuting people who did not respond to it's summons then no one would ever respond to them and Criminal justice system would collapse.

Phoolka is already gearing up for local body elections.............he lost by a narrow margin from congress in Ludhiana .

Punjab is a rural state where voting system is quiet different from cities like Delhi or anything .............once people choosed a party , they stay with it for a long run.

Here we have congressi villages and akali villages...............now AAM villages are coming up.

more over Dhuri assembly segment is vacant ,,,,,,.................here AAP had a lead of 25k votes ...........so AAP might can have a MLA soon in Punjab

Maybe that's the way to go. Try contesting from local body elections.. & build a base from there. But Kejriwal & his AAP cronies wanted to jump before walk.. & paying the price for it. Maybe starting from lower rung of the political ladder may teach some political manners to them..& people may start taking them seriously.

I have all the time for Phoolka. If he manages to bring political change in Punjab.. good for him & AAP. There have been few others in AAP who founded the party... but left the party once they realized what's AAP is all about. Let's hope the things would have changed since then.. & Phoolka is doing the right thing.

Phoolka is the most serious person alive today who is dealing with sikh issues while staying in Indian consitution ............doubting his seriousness and intentions will be laughable ........a person who is fighting for 30 years the cases of 84 genocide without taking any fee .............is a legend in it self .

more over some other AAP leaders in Punjab are well reputed persons.like ANandpur sahib candidate ..........who is lawyers of Sikh farmers of gujarat and HS Khalsa ( MP from Fatehgarh Sahib ) , an ex IFS officer.

on having a experienced politician among them ........guys like Chotepur with 30 years of political experience ....candidate from Gurdaspur

Its a criminal defamation case not a civil defamation one and hence a bail bond (or a personal bond without surety ) is needed as per the law, unless concessions are made because of his status as Ex CM. Now since he is totally against being treated as a Khaas Aadmi, the judge has just followed his guidance.

In India if accused does not appear in court, his case is adjourned to a later date and a warrant, Bailable or non-Bailable ( depending on magnitude of crime ) is issued against him.

Court here is not asking him for bail in the case concerned but the Bail he has to pay was for skipping court on earlier date. He is throwing a drama stating that he won't pay bail even though the bailable warrant was issued against him so court sent him to jail on charges of contempt of court.

every state has different set up for every party which works independently from other states .....eg - BJP in Haryana and BJP in Punjab are totally different entity and they work independently from each other.

there are still 3 years left for assembly elections ..........AAP Punjab have popular vocals like Bhagwant Mann as well as respected faces like Phoolka ...........organisation will be effective enough to give up a fight in 2017.

more over , without any organisation and just 3 months of work ........AAP got lead in 33 assembly segments and came second in 15 others................wonders can be done with organiation

No one's above the law, it's not his option to question the procedure on the court floor, if he has a problem there's a different legal way of doing that.
