I dont understand if devaluation is good or bad. Imran khan ised to tell us its bad now he is saying its good. We have economists on both sides.

Devaluation is only (somewhat) good if you are a major export oriented economy like China. But if you are import heavy, then obviously it is not.
The rationale is, your exports become more competitive (if your raw materials are locally sourced). Your exports will grow, and it will have a flywheel effect on the economy i-e more inflow will stimulate the economy and investments. In our case, it will make our textiles and sports/surgical equipment (sialkot) be more competitive but thats about it. We import pretty much everything else which will not only offset but negatively impact.

Obviously this is a very simplistic explanation.
