Since Saturday evening, Kashmir took the micro-blogging site twitter by a storm with tweets about Kashmir pouring in as fast as 500 tweets per second from across the world.

The tweeples from Kashmir started tweeting about the latest massacre in Kashmir under the hashtag #KashmirNow at 8.30 P.M on Saturday and soon tweeples from across the world joined in to express their solidarity with the Kashmiris.
‘Think again if you thought you killed us all. Think again if you thought you had silenced us. We are alive and speaking. #KashmirNow,’ one more tweet reads.
The storm was also supported by international hacktivist group Anonymous. Anonymous also runs an exclusive operation against human-rights abuses and frequent internet clampdowns in Kashmir called OpKashmir.
‘#KashmirNow is “allegedly” trending worldwide- Talk like Indian media,’ another tweets mocked Indian media’s coverage to Kashmir.

Sikhs And Kashmiris Have Been Made Slaves By India: Akali Dal
Posted by Kashmir Life on July 21, 2013 in LATEST NEWS
KL Report
Srinagar
Senior Akali Dal leader from Punjab Simranjit Singh Mann Sunday alleged that Sikhs and Kashmiris have been enslaved by India and New Delhi was doing injustice with both the communities.
“There is injustice with both Kashmiris and people and Punjab. India occupied Kashmir and Punjab in 1947 at the time of partition. People of these two states were not willing to join India. Sikhs and Kashmiris have been made slaves by India,” he told KNS.
The two time Member of Parliament from Taran Tarn said that according to UN Resolutions India had promised a plebiscite in Kashmir. “But they aren’t fulfilling their promise. Situation in Kashmir will not improve till Kashmiris are given their rights,” he said.
Lashing out at mainstream politicians of J&K he said, “Be it Dr Farooq Abdullah, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed or Omar Abdullah they have not been able to do justice with people. They accept troops are violating human rights and order for enquiries. But nothing has come out of these enquiries.”
Claiming that there was military rule in J&K and Chief Minister has no powers, he said, “Article 370 which gives special status to J&K has been eroded. New Delhi has imposed its own laws in Kashmir. The job of army is on borders but they have kept them guarding Amarnath yatra.”
Mann who is in Kashmir these days said that he will Hurriyat Conference leader Shabir Ahmad Shah, visit Chati Singhpora and Afzal Guru’s residence during his stay in the valley.
He claimed that Gujarat Chief Minister Narednra Modi was working on Hinduvta agenda. “BJP and Congress are two sides of a same coin and minorities are neither safe in BJP rule nor in Congress rule.”
Reacting to Janta Dal leader Subramaniyam Swamy’s recent statement on minorities, he said, “Minorities in India feel unsafe. We all should unite and fight against it.”
