ISLAMABAD, Oct 27 (APP): Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and all across the world held protest demonstrations on Saturday to convey to the international community that despite Indian state terrorism they reject its illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.
It was on 27th October in 1947 when Indian troops landed in Srinagar and forcibly occupied Jammu and Kashmir in total disregard to the partition plan of the Subcontinent and against the Kashmiris’ aspirations, Media reports said.Hundreds of people marched through the streets and roads raising pro- freedom and anti-India slogans in Srinagar, Sopore, Shopian, Islamabad, Pulwama, Budgam, Pattan and at other several places.Dozens of people were injured when Indian paramilitary forces used brute force and teargas shells against the protestors.

The puppet authorities placed All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Hurriyet leaders including, Mohammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Zaffar Akbar Butt, Javed Ahmad Mir under house arrest.
The veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader Syed Ali Gilani was arrested when he was leaving his residence to offer Eid prayers. He was locked at Hamhamma Police Station in Srinagar. On the other hand, thousands of Muslims offered Eid prayers at Eighgah, Hazratbal in Srinagar and various Eidgahs and Mosques of the occupied territory reaffirming their resolve to continue liberation struggle till it reaches its logical conclusion.
Senior APHC leader, Agha Syed Hassan Almoosvi, Maulana Abbas Ansari, Masroor Abbas and Mukhtar Ahmad Waza addressing Eid gatherings in Budgam, Chattabal, Pattan and Islamabad areas denounced the restrictions on the movement of Hurriyet leaders and continued human rights violations perpetrated by the Indian forces in the occupied territory.
Memorandums which were passed on the occasion, demanded complete withdrawal of Indian troops from Kashmir and immediate release of all illegally detained people languishing in different jails of the occupied territory and India.
Meanwhile, an Indian army officer, Lt Col Madukar Singh Choudhan was found mysteriously dead in his official residence at Nagrota-based 16 Corps headquarters on the outskirts of the Jammu city.
Meanwhile, Kashmiris and their sympathisers staged demonstrations in Brussels, London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Oslo, Berlin and other parts of the world to mark the 27th October as black day.
The participants demanded Kashmir’s freedom from Indian bondage and end to human right violations in occupied Kashmir.

Very believable indeed, coming from Pakistani media designed to keep Pakistani hopes alive for Kashmir.

In the meantime, probably 4 guys turned up for the protest on the Indian side.

Good luck with that

One day you'll be free,
From the Brahmins of the North,
And the Dravids of the South
