As a propounder of rationality, Key : how about going that extra mile to give a thought about where its all stemming from.
Like muslim invaders who came over to India?
I mean Indians were either peace loving then, or spineless, or too much into the grip of sadhu's claiming everything is moh-maaya while invaders raped, looted, burnt alive, desecrated valuables..
be whatever, they were poor souls running around when invaders were f' them left right and center.
applying plain oh-so-holy rationality, brings me to think - that anyone harping about the law getting loose in pseudo secular India at times (like even in post godhra riots), is oh-so-bad now is a moron who does not know that
you reap what you had sown.
----
Me and you, and others may hate it, renounce and curb it - but it will take its time, its effort and literacy to bring that understanding and peace into existence.
But till then harping about it, is not rational - cus it didnt just start after 1947. and it didnt just start because of india and pakistan
The Historical aspect that you mention, may well be relevant in the "bigger" historical picture. However any society where people can jump to conclusions then kill thousands of people, whilst the people charged to protect them do nothing (How many rioters got shot that day?) has to take a long hard look at themselves.
