Quite clearly, the CRPF are neither trained nor led sufficiently well to be deployed in Kashmir.

I doubt that they are either trained or led sufficiently to deploy them in any situation beyond riot control in an otherwise normal state.

There are two other bodies of paramilitary who are similar. These bodies of men are blemishes on the honour and reputation of the Indian Army in particular, and on Indian security forces in general. That is not to absolve other policemen from similar failures; these three are the ones most frequently deployed in sensitive situations, and the ones to fail us consistently in their responses to such situations.

They started as the Crown Reserve Police, and were used first to suppress the freedom movement. They have learnt nothing but stayed the same, with no additional training, with no sensitisation, and with no sense of what is due to any and every Indian citizen who is not in armed revolt against the state.

Agree.CISF and BSF also seems like this .CISF are some what keep low profile .They are very ill trained both in counter insurgency and in crowd control.
There pathetic situation was exposed during anti maoist actions.
Cant blame them only.They are very underfunded .Most of the potential members will promoted to Army or other elite forces.
