Come to think of it, neither have I. But anyways, i would say that the above video was a stunt. Its vague in every aspect. The police wouldnt be able to threaten any one with a camera in their front. Neither can a police woman threaten the camera man. Free press here, they cant do anything. It seems so typical of the Pakistani view of the goings in Kashmir.
How would you expect indian news channels to show this? Most of the channels are nationalist channels. There are hardly any indian channels these days that got any sort of credibility left. And Sword, when Indian TV shows the other side then you can criticize others for being one sided. I haven't seen any documentaries from Indian TV sources re: the civilians killed by the IA or police. I have access to Indian news here and have not seen any such programs.
I did not claim them as anything but my own opinions. This video is made by a UK channel bud. So its not representing Pakistani view. Besides, army or policemen, they are still working for the government. "You would say", "I would say", those are nothing but opinions.
Just because Indian news Channels dont report the views and news to your liking as you being a Pakistani citizen does not mean that they dont have any credibility. Do you regularly see Indian news channels? How would you expect indian news channels to show this? Most of the channels are nationalist channels. Its only sometimes that they report stuff like this, and mainly when there is some international development most likely something the economy related. Take for instance the raising of S & P's rating of India. That would have launched a flood. NDTV, CNN-IBN, TIMES NOW etc are good channels indeed. I donot watch the Hindi news channels.I don't expect them to report anything to my liking sir. Do not make assumptions. But the channels I see hardly report anything other than india becoming this, india becoming that, indian becoming superpower, etc, all nationalist stuff. Yes I do watch some indian news channels pretty regularly; NDTV, aajtak, headlines today, sahara samay. I have also watched some of the other news channels in the past too. The only channels that have any credibility are NDTV and Sahara samay. I am not saying that the other channels are the worst news channels I've seen, but they're not that good either.
This itself is VERY CONCLUSIVE proof that you donot watch Indian channels. You would not find any damn Indian news channel worth its salt that within a span of 2 hours would criticise the govt for something or other. In Pakistan, our news channels show both good and bad stories of Pakistan. Now that's called non-biased reporting.

Really? Not from what I see in the channels I watch(ed). The only channels I have seen doing that is NDTV and Sahara Samay. I am not saying that the rest never show anything that you said, but its a rarity. From sting operations to coverage in sensitive areas, Indian media is extremely critical of the government. Every issue is scrutinised and every issue is debated, Sir.
Our media is a lot more negative about the country than India's. Politicans and public openly call Musharraf and other government officials names and whatever they want and nobody cares. And I can safely ignore the second comment. The fact that you are even comparing Indian media to Pakistani media speaks of the fact of how much Indian news media you have watched. Merely naming the news channels in India does not make it evident that you watch them.
PTV is a government channel. Obviously they can't say anything negative about them. Watch Ary one world, Geo, or some of the other channels we get back in Pakistan. I only get these two Pakistani news channels here. And pardon me, but i have seen PTV a LOT. We used to get it in India till some time back, till it was banned. And i must say, there was NEVER a single report about PTV criticising the Pakistani govt. So you are very naive if you even think about comparing India and Pakistani media. Should you want to challenge me on this statement, about the levels of Indian and Pakistani media i am willing to debate you.
Almost every channel does it. Its surprising to say that you have not seen them. That you have neither seen other Indian news channels criticsing the govt on EVERY issue. Its their favourite pastime. And it is on this basis that i say that you dont watch Indian news channels. Ask any Indian member, Bull or whomever, they would say the same thing. Every news channel from Aaj Tak to NDTV bash the govt, doing their own searches, criticising hte country on so many issues that its impossible to count.Really? Not from what I see in the channels I watch(ed). The only channels I have seen doing that is NDTV and Sahara Samay. I am not saying that the rest never show anything that you said, but its a rarity.
That is not possible, the sheer number of Indian news channels assure that. It raises competition, and thus channels are more cut-throat, they fight it out on the most worthless peice of news, and thus every so while you have these 'experts' criticising hte govts policies, etc, etc.Our media is a lot more negative about the country than India's. Politicans and public openly call Musharraf and other government officials names and whatever they want and nobody cares. And I can safely ignore the second comment.
You do know the number of Indian of Indian channels there are right?? Like i said above, you are biased, the Indian news channels are pretty good, and it is frankly impossible to match their self-criticism of the homeland. Aditionally I trust i donot need to tell you about the Freedom of Press in India.PTV is a government channel. Obviously they can't say anything negative about them. Pure propaganda, nothing else. Most likely paid actors.
Wednesday, January 31, 2007 (Srinagar):
A judicial enquiry is ordered after police shoot a carpenter in what is seen as a fake encounter in Srinagar, Kashmir, reports say.
Fake encounters are thought to be set up at winning government rewards offered to security forces for killing militants.
Thirty five year old carpenter Abdul Rehman Padroo was killed in the encounter on December 8, 2006.
Police said he was a Pakistani militant and an AK 47 rifle, two magazines and ammunition were recovered from him.
In at least three fake encounters under investigation, the army and the police claim they recovered weapons from the men they shot.
The most important link to kill an innocent civilian and pass him as a militant is the recovery of weapons.

r u gonna call this pure propaganda as well.
