He was taking sides in that tweet. Govt. officials are servant of the state and the people. They cannot take sides.
Sadly these rules apply to ALL govt. officials irrespective of their religion, caste , creed or sect.

What sides? What is one side and which is another? Do you identify a line between Hindus and Muslims in the constitution? If 300 Hindus had given plasma, had appreciating them been a matter of concern?

The religion of someone who donates it doesn't matter much in India. If you take statistics of people who donate most of the organs a particular community (say Jahova's witness) will stand out from the list because it's banned for them to donate organs. Should others make a big deal of it, and stop donating organs to them? We don't do that.

Pretty ironic since these comments were made by a MUSLIM IAS officer selected by meritocracy in a Hindu majority country.

I am talking about the general pattern of Hindu inferiority-complex and the deep resentment it brings with it. Multiple historians, scholars, journalists, and anthropologists have written about the deep Hindu inferiority-complex vis-a-vis Muslims due to historical domination of Hindus, partition, and so on. All this breeds Hindu anger/resentment towards Muslims in general, and towards Indian Muslims specifically.

We see it almost daily unfolding in India. Go to twitter, Hindutva twitter bots are laughed at everywhere now---Sikh Twitter, Muslim Twitter, and so much so that even pro-Trump, white nationalist twitter laughs at their inferiority-complex oozing out of their resentful tweets lol

A small sample (He isn't Pakistani. Not Muslim. not Kashmiri. Couldn't care less about anything---and even he independently saw how Hindus come from a place of deep inferiority-complexes and sense of inadequacy.

Explains the civil strife, riots, insecurities existing across India.

If I were in his shoes, would have moved my entire family overseas. There's near to zero precedences that an ias officer in india has been taken on task by the govt to the extent that he has to fear for his job as it's a British legacy and this group literally owns India. but then anything is possible under modi's watch .


The good thing is, india is breaking the shackles of colonial bureaucratic hierarchy which couldn't be touched before but the band news is only Muslim officers will pay for this emancipation.
