Kargil’s military success was converted into political defeat: Musharraf

bombed with what? indian made toilets? nope they were israeli laser guided bombs...
lol you are telling US like you use weapons made in PAK, like F-16 , stinger missiles etc .... till now you use laser guided bombs provided by US , India now started making itself.

.
Too bad the Indian dogs could never touch Pakistan after Kargil.

Even after the Indian jawans were gutted in Kargil, they tried to amass their forces on the border in 2002.

You Indians your very self know that Pakistan owned you after Kargil as well.

Such stories of victory can only be appreciated in the Indian public, even though at the end of the day, the Indians withdrew.
Share the pics of 20 captured Insas from Kargil.

I will share you 100s of **** G3,AK 56 and other stuff including the dead bodies.

Do you agree ?

.
My Indian son. Hundreds of your jawans were riddled with lmg fire and yet you still come here and beat your chest? Your jawans fell to the bottom of these slopes with bullet wounds and broken legs, yet you still come here to claim victory? Your soldiers were killed off in mercy or told to run back to their daddy's base camps. In return, they came back with laser guided bombs and were still slaughtered like sheep. Only when mujahadeen were ordered to vacate their positions did your army fire on them, shooting them in the back. Have some decency.

Your own generals were brought to court for the negligence and intelligence failures of your top brass.

You Indian jawans were slaughtered like sheep without a herder.
My PAK grand dad , thousands of PAK Jawans died , burned alive, and even left to rotten.

Do you know when Did Tiger Hill was captured? when Tiger hill ( the highest Pt) lost by PAK , then they realised now India soldiers are sitting on top and start shooting down.

By the time cease fire decided PAK lost everything , only US gave the face saving . ASK you Army to release kargil report, which is hide due to shame and humiliation by your Army. one report is public even seen how much you killed and how cowardly you died. what they hiding in that report? killing of Indian soldiers? or their own soldiers getting killed?

Go and learn about WAR ask your Army to open the Kargil report and see with your wide eyes open how cowards you are, no Army in the world left their died commanded .

aka Tiger hill.. remember that..

victory is like Siachen, Sitting on TOP , killing PAK top commandos and still sit on same position.

for ppl like you...

Which Madarsa teach you this???

Victory redefined as never before in the history of military battles..... BD n status quo on siachin are victory emblem of Pakistan army..... Pakistan Military objective were achieved by gaining foothold on 2-3peaks of post kargil war...... No problem at this rate of success by the end of human extinction Pakistan would get hold of Kashmir......

.
I can see confusion in Indians as well, eg who has control of peak xxxx ( i don't remember but there are couple of them ). People should file PILs for making things clear.

Among pakistanis that confusion is bigger in my opinion. After numerous coups across pak history, I don't think there has ever been any whitepaper or commission setup which has ever been constituted to make things clear to the public. It just a bunch of claims and people arguing about things to no end.

.
Why he didn't inform anyone before doing Kargil??

How Indians were able to get hold of that recording?? Did the Chinese give u that?? US?? just curious??

Pakistan army 'caught India by the throat' during Kargil war: Musharraf

It seems the General in your Avatar is laughing at OP and Musharraf.

On Topic-

Op Badr (PA plan which led to Kargil) was disaster for Pakistan and many Defesne Experts including number of Paksitani say same and they will disagree with OP.

.
Mushi is the only leader i am ready to come out on streets for ... If Mushi is traitor than " Pakistan ka Allah hi Hafiz hai "
Indeed. But this level of corrupt political situation will not allow that to happen.
We need him now more than ever..

They tried to caught our neck and instead they got kicked in their b@lls and then they ran away.

Some “Facts” about Kargil Conflict, 1999
May 15, 2013 by
By Lt Col (R) Rashid Zia Cheema

This is a very brief account of what happened in Kargil in 1999. It is meant for those readers who are totally unaware about the broad details of this operation. Ones interested in details about tactical and strategical aspects and lessons learnt etc, are requested to do their own research on the Internet.

The Kargil Conflict was an armed conflict between India and Pakistan that took place between May and July 1999 in the Kargil district of Occupied Kashmir and elsewhere along the Line of Control (LOC). The conflict is also referred to as “Operation Koh-e-Paima”.

The strategically located town of Kargil.

The cause of the conflict was the infiltration of Pakistani soldiers and Kashmiri militants into positions on the Indian side of the LOC . Pakistani troops did not cross the International Borders at any stage of the conflict. Pakistan’s objective was to drive Indians out of Siachin and highlight Kashmir Issue in the eyes of the world.

In the spring of 1999, on the orders of Pakistan Army Chief, General Pervez Musharraf, Pakistani soldiers climbed up the snow-bound passes and occupied some high positions, including Tiger Hill and Point 5353, in the vacant area and infiltrated almost 10 km into the Indian territory ( still short of International Border). These positions overlooked Indian National Highway (NH 1 D). Pakistan was in a strong position to cut off supplies and winter dumping and thus force Indians to withdraw from the Siachin Glacier.

Tiger Hill as seen from Indian side.

The Indians were caught off guard. They tried to evict the positions but failed miserably. They used a large number of Artillery guns and also used their air force against Pakistani positions. Two Indian aircraft were also shot down by Stinger Missiles. Indian aircraft violated Pakistani air space but they never admitted it openly. One of their pilots, Flight Lieutenant Nachiketa, who ejected after his aircraft was shot down, was captured from the Pakistani territory. Indians ultimately complained to the International community and finally on pressure by the USA, Pakistani Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, ordered the withdrawal of troops. Most of the casualties of “Operation Koh-e-Paima” were inflicted during the withdrawal. In General Musharraf’s words “A military victory was converted into a political defeat.”

An Indian officer told in an interview (Video at the end of this page) that normally the ratio between the attacking force and the defending force is 3:1 but due to the high altitude of the battleground Indian Army Chief increased it to 15:1 but yet they were unable to capture the positions occupied by Pakistani troops. Point 5353 is the highest point in Drass-Kargil area. Its recapture was the most important objective for Indian forces during the Kargil Conflict. But they could never come close to it.

Point 5353 is still occupied by Pakistan, even 14 years after the battle. Pakistan has since fortified it with reinforced bunkers. After the end of the war, Indians tried many times to capture Point 5353 but all their efforts failed. India has now given up the post as ‘untenable’. Gen VK Singh praises Pervez Musharraf’s courage for crossing LoC before 1999 Kargil operation

Please see a video which gives the real facts of Kargil Operation by Pakistani, British and Indian TVs. This video shows General Pervez Musharraf and Jaswant Singh, former Indian Foreign Minister, in the talk show “The Outsider With Tim Sebastian” hosted by the legendary BBC journalist Tim Sebastian. This video also includes a talk show of ARY News with Chaudhry Shujaat and General Musharraf. India TV gives glimpses of the War and tells about the destruction of Ammunition Depot by Pakistani fire which caused Rs. 100 Crore loss to India. Then lastly a brief interview conducted by a female host of ND TV of India with Musharraf where she asks him,”Do you have any regrets about Kargil now that you are such a welcome visitor in India?”

I am no fan of General Musharraf but I like the way he smilingly gave her a very apt reply,”Do you expect me to ever say that ‘Yes, I regret it’ ? If somebody was to ask Indian Prime Minister ‘Do you regret having divided Pakistan and made Bangla Desh?’, would he say ‘yes, we are very sorry’? How would you expect that I would regret?”

.
So when Indian PM and Pakistani PM were carrying out the most straightforward attempt at peace, you occupied unmanned peaks vacated for winter(action based on mutual understanding between our armies).
That is a brave brave plan.

You fail in the most basic objective, that is to cut off the supply to the siachen area. Brilliant military victory.

You started the operation without the approval of the political leaders and then retreated because the political leaders told you to? Then after a while deposed the same political leaders who were in such a great position of control? And then you term the defeat as political defeat?

PS today after the attabad landslide and the gyari disaster, the saltoro ridge is more vulnerable than ever before.

Kargil War 1999 | Real Facts about Kargil Conflict

Sometimes for peace , something left , but didn't Tiger hill over look Pt 5353 and any gunner can blast of all peak 5353 in event of war...

Pt 5353 can only be used as observation post , which can be blow using Air power in case of war. to India can use Tiger hill as observation post can guide artillery to Pt 5353 make is unliveable.

So what the use of .... when u can control the thing . BTW , All weather 4lane road 4 is now developing for Leh using Manali . it will be ready by next 2-3 years

It's been over ten years, my little Indian friend. None of these thousands of soldiers were reported by the media. Forget about these phantoms, even their families have never come out in front of the media? Why?

Because these casualties do not exist. Only in the minds of bhartis, there were thousands of losses. I can't blame you, because you Indians are delusional. You disregard the fact that hundreds of your jawans were gunned down on the snowy peaks of the mountains.

Your military will never attempt to confront the Pakistani Army ever again, after this bloody nose.

We heard about your Ma bharat conducting surgical strikes in Pakistan after Mumbai, but again fantasies remained fantasies. Pakistan Army raped Indian army so bad in Kargil and 2002 afterwards that they don't even mention our military today.

If you Indians are feeling brave, then we are just across the border. Come anytime, but make sure you stinky Indians put some perfume on.

Last time any Media person tried to anything against Army get killed. Kasab family? where it vanished? did anyone in media asked for find out? Hell NO.

Well yes ... their is not PAK casualties , Indian only firing on imaginary Enemy on Tiger Hill and captured it , and also bombed on Imaginary people.. lol

Poor , you last time when PAK fired bullets he got so much bullets back from India side , they started crying about LOC violations .....lol ....

Don't worry , India told PAK , try now ..... and see the result ... now from last one year PAK is doing nothing.... and still has 4 years , Try and see the result . Its clear , India will divide PAK like it do in BD, now.

The funny thing is, Pakistan didn't even send its troops, they sent in NLI (a paramilitary force at the time) along with Kashmiri freedom fighters, yet the Indians whined like anything, imagine what would have happened, had we sent our regular troops or even SSG, man being Indian and whining goes hand in hand !!!
