Thanks for your kind reply....Thank you for tagging me on this thread. I believe it is the job of ISPR (Inter Services Public Relations ) a department of our army which gives responsible statements regarding all events related to the army. If you look at the newspapers of that time, I am sure you will find a lot of stories regarding Pakistani side of the story of Kargil war. I believe there have been heroics on both sides. No body can deny that. Captain "Col Sher Khan" story is full of heroics. If you are interested, I will look it up in Internet and post it for you.
About this story I find some points unusual which are,
The height of Khalubar post is given as 17500 metres above mean sea level. This is almost twice the height of mount Everest which is 8848 metres above mean sea level. It should be 17500 feet above mean sea level. That is more reasonable.
Killing enemy soldiers is part of the job but to cut their heads is a bit too much. Does Geneva Convention allow this ? Does Indian army approve of it. Or are you trying to give us the message that in the next war we should also adopt this practice ? I certainly hope not. Islam does not allow our soldiers to cut off enemy's head.
This is my humble reply. I hope it satisfies you.
