It seems unstoppable unless people are consoled , many have lost blood many have blood on their hands , those who have lost loved ones seek justice .. and justice is not that easy to serve , one groups enemy is anothers hero .. karachi is facing a cold civil war like situation from decades , locals are not empowered , outsiders cannot have a grip on power .. its tilting all groups are itching to fight one another . If we go the civil war route , will take decades and will be beyond repair ..

if that what it takes, so be it. but all we need to ensure is that our children dont curse us for bringing them into live in this mess. better we face and clean off ourselves...

Some Sindhi nationalist died today and the "people" of his party started doing aerial shooting and killed a person.

If Pakistan had gun control laws, then this would never have happened.

Any criminal or even a 10 year old kid could obtain weapons/guns easily in Pakistan and thats where the root of the problem is. If these people don't have weapons then they won't go around killing people.

Sindhi nationalist leader Muzaffar Bhutto’s body found in Hyderabad | DAWN.COM

HYDERABAD: After 45 days of mysterious death of chairman, Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) Bashir Khan Qureshi, the bullet riddled body of another nationalist leader Muzaffar Bhutto was found in the outskirts of Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Bhutto was central secretary general of Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM) which is headed by Shafi Burfat.

His body was found stuffed in a gunny bag near Bukhari village in the limits of Hatri police station near Hyderabad.

Muzaffar Bhutto was among missing persons of Sindh, as he was kidnapped on February 25, 2011 from national highway near Saeedabad town.

The family members had been staging demonstrations for recovery of Bhutto while petition had also been filed in the apex court of Sindh. The slain leader has left a widow Saima Bhutto, two sons and a daughter.

The body of slain JSMM leader was brought to civil hospitalHyderabadlate last night by some people who disappeared after leaving the body. Later, the relatives identified the body on Tuesday. The body of Muzaffar Bhutto was later sent to Sehwan, his hometown, where he would be laid to rest.

The reports of death of Muzaffar Bhutto sparked reaction in different cities and towns of Sindh. In Qasimabad,Hyderabadand Kotri, the activists of JSMM resorted to aerial firing after which the hops and other businesses were closed.

In Dokri town three people sustained injuries when the enraged people started firing. One of the injured Muhammad Zada succumbed to injuries at the hospital. The Larkana town was also completely shut after the reports of Bhutto’s death reached. The aerial firing was also reported from different areas.

Reports from Nawabshah said all the commercial activities came to standstill in Nawabshah, Sakrand and Qazi Ahmed towns where the aerial firing created panic.

The JSMM workers alleged that secret agencies were involved in killing of their leader. Meanwhile, Zain Bhutto, vice chairman, JSMM, condemned the murder of Muzaffar Bhutto and Dr Niaz Kalani, acting chairman, Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, has announced strike in Sindh on Wednesday to condemn the murder of nationalist leader.

KARACHI: Karachi police chief, Akhtar Gorchani, Tuesday said that no one wanted to have mercy upon Karachi, Geo News reported.

Gorchani, who is also Additional Inspector General Police Sindh, told Geo News that police was not formally consulted regarding Awami Tehrik's rally, adding his department would see to it whether the district administration had authorized the procession or not.

To a question, he said that it was not true that police only provided security to the authorized rallies, even unauthorized rallies were given due protection and this rally was no exception.

“In the wake of hostilities that broke out when the rally came under attack in the Old City area, contingents of police and Rangers dashed into the hostile zones to control the situation, which could have gone from worse to worst had the law-enforcers not been there”, said he.

Going forward he also said that the rally’s route was too long to be policed effectively, but cops tried their best to keep peace.

I think to start with all provincial capitals and Islamabad along with its twin city be declared no weapon cities. After some grace period bearer of weapon should be taken to task. No one should be allowed to carry weapons other than law enforcement departments and defense services of Pakistan.

12 dead, 29 injured after violence erupts in Karachi



KARACHI: At least 12 people have been killed and 29 injured in violence that erupted after unidentified gunmen opened fire on a rally organised by the Awami Tehreek and banned Peoples Amn Committee (PAC) in Karachi on Tuesday.
The protestors were rallying against the proposed Mohajir province and operation in Lyari.
Soon after the attack, the protest turned violent and dozens of cars and motorbikes were torched. The violence, which erupted in the Napier Road area, spread to the nearby localities including Lyari.
Police personnel deployed to maintain security failed to control the situation, however, after Rangers arrived, violence was brought under control.

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has taken notice of the violence and has sought a report from the Sindh government.
The Awami Tehreek has announced to observe a day of mourning on Wednesday.

While speaking to Express News, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Wasay Jalil expressed sorrow over the incident and called it a planned activity.

Due to today’s violence, Board of Intermediate Education in Karachi and Hyderabad have postponed exams scheduled to be held on Wednesday. The exams will now be held on May 30 in Karachi and May 26 in Hyderabad.

Incidents of firing were reported in the Nishter Road area and a car was also torched in the locality.

Awami Tehreek President Ayaz Palijo, in a press conference, said that the police left the areas as soon as firing began and the PPP “stood there, watching Sindhis being killed”.
“I thank PML-N and Jamaat-e-Islami who supported us in the protest,” he added.
He further warned that every drop of blood that was shed in today’s riots will be avenged, “not from innocent Urdu-speaking people, but from terrorists”.
Palijo also said that he had received text messages last night from a certain party which threatened of repeating the May 12 scenario today during the protest.
