what the guy did was stupid......and if they are going to treat any international visitor like this,,,,it will only spoil your relation with other countries.

You keep your lecture to yourself, Americans deserve even worse, it was only a shoe.Never the less the action was too gain media attention and nothing more.

Come back & give your views after you confront a foreigner who insults you & your country by standing in front of you on your own land. A guest doesn't insults you in your own home specially after you had invited him to your home.

Rather shoes than stones. Here in SA our students throw stones at the police and politicians when they are protesting. Good for this academic that he did not infuriate South African students. And may I add that our students seldom miss when they are hurling those stones
