KARACHI: Extreme weather conditions have posed hardships for the Karachiites on Wednesday; also, an international news agency reported that Karachi will have the record level of low temperature today.
The wave of extremely cold weather commenced yesterday and this wave still persists in the city and is expected to last for next couple of days.
Meteorological Department said that minimum temperature recorded till 11am was 7 degree centigrade and the maximum temperature was 9 degree Celsius.
Met Department said zero degree Celsius was recorded in the metropolitan in 1934. While, a British news agency reported that Karachi would face minus one degree Celsius on Wednesday, which if happens, will break 74-year old record of cold weather in Karachi.
Extreme cold weather has triggered the apprehensions of the increase in weather-related diseases and the citizens are quite concerned over it.
