KARACHI (Dunya News) – The police on Tuesday killed as many as two terrorists belonging to a banned outfit during a search operation in Quaidabad area.
According to the details, the police conducted a search operation in Gulshan Boner area of Quaidabad on a tip off from an intelligence agency. The police seized the entry and exit points of the area and started looking for them from door to door upon which the terrorists opened fire on the police and attacked the police vehicle with a hand grenade.
The police reciprocated the fire and killed at least two terrorists namely Qari Sajid and Mateen. One of the two killed terrorists Mateen was involved in the attacks on the Manawa Training School and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Chaudhry Aslam.
According to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rao Anwar, Sajid was the primary criminal in the case of digging a tunnel in the Karachi Central Jail.
The police have recovered explosive material and weaponry from the possession of the terrorists killed.
