Daesh network captured in Pakistan: IB chief
ISLAMABAD – Intelligence Bureau (IB) Director General Aftab Sultan on Wednesday revealed that network of Daesh – known as Islamic State – has been busted in Pakistan, a private TV channel reported.
During in-camera briefing in Islamabad, the IB director general told NA Standing Committee on Interior & Narcotics that terrorists involved in more than ten incidents including attacks near Wagah Border and ANP leader Bashir Bilour‘s have been arrested.
He said that an arms depot of terrorists was also eliminated in Tarnol. The IB chief admitted that there were intelligence reports regarding attacks on educational institutions but there was no information that Bacha Khan University (BKU) will be targeted.
He further said that only the Punjab government is showing seriousness over the National Action Plan (NAP) against terrorism.
