Congrats Karachiites.......

New shooting range and saddle club has been constructed by Pakistan Rangers.

Today it was inaugurated. Js. Sarmad Jalal Usmani was chief guest, all ranges (air pistol, pistol, trap & skeet) were open for firing.

Situated just after toll plaza, opposite wadi a hussain graveyard, super highway.

It was fun being there, after prize distribution, we moved to sachal rangers headquarters (before toll plaza) where refreshments were waiting for us.

From airport it is around 15 minutes. Well we also love to go on highways for dinner.

Beaches and Waterfront

• Port Grand is an extensive food street and entertainment complex in Downtown Karachi with a pedestrian friendly pier, housing different restaurants on one side and views of Karachi Harbor on the other side. It also has shopping malls, art galleries, a tavern area, and a Hindu temple.
• Clifton Beach was the world's most popular silver-sand beach and health resort during 20th century but now it is affected by an oil spill that occurred in 2003. Some still find it well worth visiting, however.
• Beach Park
• Bagh-e-Ibn-e-Qasim located just next to the beach park, Bagh-e-Ibn-e-Qasim is the most famous park of the city. Attractions include: Lady Lloyd pier, Jahangri Kothari parade, a century old amusement park, an underground Hindu temple, a mosque and a mausoleum. Try to visit the park at late evening hours when the park is lit.
• Boat Basin Park now known as Benazir Bhutto Park is the most expensively built park in the country.
• Water Jet fountain is the world’s tallest fountain; the controversial fountain is open during weekends between 6PM and midnight.
• Floating Ship at Sea View is a buffet-themed restaurant with thrilling experiences of Ocean turmoil (Thunderstorm, Lighting, Shark attack) and Kids theater with Fantasy world. [This has shut down now]
  
  The following beaches are located at the outskirts of the city, and are less strict about clothing:
• Sandspit Beach – also visit the WWF Wetland center
• Hawke's Bay Beach - breeding ground for endangered turtles
• Paradise Point - rock promontory in the sea with a natural arch
• French Beach - often cited as Karachi’s most beautiful beach.
• Russian Beach - near Gharo
• Islands: Oyster Rocks, Bundle Islands, Manora Island, Churna Island is a Naval gunnery site, as well as Pakistan's only coral reefs
• Minora Island - It is great place to visit, ferries and boats are available on rent. This is the island where the Talpurs gave up for British.
  
  You will also view the ruins of a 19th century temple. Many food stalls are also there selling fish.
