It has become politicized. Same with CAA. These aviation bodies need to be separated from MoD. You have PIA officials in CAA, and people with political influences in PIA. Had a chat with a PIA captain a few months back, and he gave a account of the really poor conditions of PIA.

It should be made autonomous, and rather than a disciplinarian, it needs a businessman at the top. Air Marshal might be an honest man, but he is no businessman.
