Kamran Khan Reveals list of weapons Pakistan buying from Russsia

.
[QUOTE: Neutron-Zone, post: 8788761, member: 179958"]It is for sure. The rafale deal was a big shock for Russia because India preferred rafale on Su-35,37 platform....
Now its Russia's keen to sell weapons to Pakistan. And Su-35 will be a game changer.[/QUOTE]

Su-35 makes no sense, when we have Su-30mki which going for super upgrade... don't buy non sense.. there are bigger deals under pipe line ..

The Yak-130 is just fanboy speculation. What makes you think one of his writers did not just open Defence.pk via google search and read up.

I'm sorry I didn't know how much credibility Kamran Khan has, that's why I bothered you. Didn't make sense to me at all.

Nonetheless eagerly waiting for dual seater JF-17, any timeline as to when we will get to see it. Lastly Sir, has the Oxygen bottle been replaced with an OBOG system?

KK is as credible as his "research" team. Any other political credibility he has is via his blackberry or Imessage discussions. "house of cards" and "The Newsroom" is actually a good reference on how sources are compiled.

The OBGOS is being planned for the block-II as a retrofit and Block-III standard. Block-I will stick with the bottles.

If Pakistan is buying Yak-130 which is a two engines aircraft then it means Pakistan's future procurement will be surely twin engine fighter so strong chance of SU35 or Eurofighter.

.
I believe they will come with some customisation for us like Honeywell/ITEC F124 as its TFE 731 is already in use with our K-8P and the difference between them is afterburning and non afterburning respectively. Where as I believe we may ask for IFRP and some avionics customisation. Just my imagination like KK :).

Kamran Khan is probably just speaking to current news. The RD-93 news is well known. The 20 Mi-35 bit was floated by Jane's last year. The Yak-130 stuff came in passing in some media outlets. The Su-35 - or Russian fighter aircraft generally - is something our DGDP reportedly said we had asked for, but Russia has yet to respond.

China can offer L15 to Pakistan. Overall looks better than Yak 130.

YAK-130 was a surprise for me but when it comes to reporting about defence acquisition...most of Pakistani media are simply pathetic. He is a political journalist who has no knowledge of defence and defence related issues especially the defence acquisitions.

It has become a trend in Pakistan that newscasters wearing military uniforms start presenting about Pakistan's armed forces and their weapons without any care for the accuracy and feeding the viewers with wrong information. After all, they are not accountable and no action is taken against media for such a substandard reporting.

There is a word to refer to such people -- mediots. And it's a global phenomenon, not just in Pakistan.
