then wait atleast 20 more years............

Yes its still in its early prototype stage. It will take atleast 5/6 more years to make it usable. If you follow the link it says that it can be used once before the next recharge. So its sort of useless now.

Lets wait and see if this becomes a big hit in bollywood ( star wars of India ;) )

.
Can someone tell me why the link lead to Sankalp India Foundation?

Where can i find the Kali 5000 in the link ?:smitten::pakistan::china:

. . . .
unless we get the System airborne or earth orbit.

Its practically useless.
Its maximum rage will always be visual range.
Making it useless against MIRV ballistic Missiles.

Unless its Airborne its a its at best a technology demonstrator.

most likely given its size and energy requirements.
Unless we use Hydrogen fuel cells. WE would need a really large plane.

Frankly I think Magnetic accelerator canons should be our top priority.
But hey both systems are at the minimum 10 years away from field tests.

LOL.. KALI and DURGA. Sorry for every Indian in PDF who killed himself defending India to be a non-religious state. But Its good to see you guys name your weapons after your religious statues because when it turns to religion, this is where Muslims fight at their best.

It is appearing an interesting machine. I would love to know more about it.

You needn't be sorry mate - all those Indians who "killed" themselves "defending India to be a non-religious state" would happily die hundred times over defending the same, for SECULARISM is one of our most cherished values - one we consider worth dying for!

Coming to your pathetic attempt to flame bait -

KALI is an acronym for Kilo Ampere Linear Injector &

DURGA is an acronym for Directionally Unrestricted Ray-Gun Array

Your post reminds me of a thread started by another of your brethren. Here s the response he got from me there-

Majority of Indian weapon systems have Sanskrit/Hindi names like, Tejas (LCA), Agni, Prithvi, Arihant etc. primarily because Sanskrit is the mother of all languages not only in India but even in the subcontinent and Hindi happens to be our national language. All the names are meant to describe the weapon systems symbolically. Like, Tejas means radiance, Agni means fire, Prithvi means land, Arihant means destroyer of enemies etc. No, Indian weapon system is named after Hindu gods or goddesses.

So, the names of Indian weapon systems have nothing to do with religion or secularism. Btw, our long range, high endurance UAV, being developed by DRDO is named Rustom, a pharsi name. Hope that serves the purpose of this thread?

there is a saying in PDf that goes like..."to be thanked 971 times in 300 something posts...you either have to be the webmaster or someone with a screaming skull!"

@mods sorry for the offtopic...couldn't resist.

What is name of the software that you guys are testing LCA's air-frame and maneuverability with? Correct me if I am wrong but I guess its name is pure Hindu name. What about Trishool, Naag and Arjun? It is obvious what is your naming pattern so what is the point in giving abbreviation excuses here? Look at the name KALI and "Kilo" attached before that. Is that the way inventions are named after? And why do we have to DENY everything only because it is told be somebody across the border? You are a senior member, I expect more wisdom from you than some newbie Indian fellow over here.

Alternatively, you have to be right-wing Indian with somebody who has screams in skull instead of wisdom!

@mods sorry for the off topic...but it was being asked.

I have no idea what the LCA's testing jig is called or the s/w...
having a sanskrit name is vastly different from sharing a Hindu goddess's name...as you were trying to point out too.
as far as Trishul is concerned...a "shool" is a spear...a "trishul" or a "trishool" is a trident...Shiva had a trident and so did Poseidon...just that we don't call it a trident...
don't read too much into it...our names are quite harmless actually...much to my dislike...if it were upto me i'd have called the nukes the "brahmastra" or some similar $hit...but that is not the case....
and what is wrong with "Kilo"?
Kilo amperes =1000 amperes...
current is measured in amperes and a helluvalot of current is a "Kilo" ampre of current!
there is a word for such words...I can't get it right now...homophones or something...
it's not intelligent trying to read plenty from what they sound like...
for example...
R.A.W doesn't mean that our spy agency is uncooked.
and when we buy raw vegetables..we don't deal with guys in tuxedos and shades....and Vince mcMahon doesn't invest invest in our agency...
ISI similarly...is marked on almost all Indian electricity appliances...and we don't detest them...as it also stands for the "Indian standards Institute"
I know you hate me now...
