I will donate $400 at startup and later 300-500$ every month .. not a big deal for donating such money its free when it comes to my country Pakistan... I am also not earning in Pakistan.... In fact donating $200-400 for us Pakistanis outside every month not a big deal we are from middle class... There are many Pakistanis who can spend milllions and billions on luxuries everymonth in UK, Canada, USA so building dam is not a big deal for us... need trustworthy leadership like IK

The only issue is that you should not need to donate. You are already contributing by paying taxes. Those who should maintain the country's account books have failed you.

Pakistanis donated billions in Qarz utaro mulk sanwaro scheme... I am not sure how much of that money was ever used for the said reasons.

What we really need to do is improve transparency and use existing development budget wisely...

You are right we can donate the money and we always have in the past as well. The second part is where I have a problem as I don't trust Imran Khan at all. I think I must have donated tens of thousands of dollars to his hospital in the 90's and onward. Now I think he is dishonest person who changes his mind with every muscle movement and is probably working on a foreign agenda after his support for Goldsmith in London elections. Does that mean I trust Sharifs with my money, the answer is - NO. However, we can setup a transparent mechanism perhaps as Kalabagh Dam is a must and an urgent requirement.

There is no need for donations, just pay your taxes. Pakistan is a country not a charity. And if Pakistan can build Diamer-Bhasha costing $1.3 Billion without international monetary support (because it was located in GB) Kalabagh for which World Bank is ready to provide financing for, will be much easier to build.

The issue is to persuade Sindh and KPK. My recommendation will be to give control of the dam to Sindh, as was recommended by Wapda chairman recently. To placate KPK, Punjab will have to sacrifice Mianwali district. Once the district becomes part of KPK the Net Hydle Profit (NHP) will go to the province providing a new revenue stream and hence making the project more appealing to the populace.
