There are a dozen other dams that could and should be built as a matter of priority. If we as a nation don't have a consensus on this, then move on. These types of decisions should not be forced by centre on provinces that have reservations, until these reservations are cleared.

Before anyone starts swinging at me, I personally support the construction of this dam.

Zardari is not the big hurdle. PPP mentality is. Even if zardari die, the mentality will remain alive.

Realistically speaking. It will benefit punjab (the most).

KP have this single reservation that if Dam reservoir is in KP then royalty should go to KP. But as per rule royalty will go to the place where Dam power house is (which is in Punjab) . So KP (political parties like ANP and other pashtoon groups) saying if i am the one filling reservoir over my villages, i should be the one getting that benefits. This is a genuine concern which can be solved by developing a formula of royalty distribution among KP and Punjab... Concerns of Sindh are rediculous though and are more politicall based on propaganda

Dams dont stop water. It ensures the flood water is stored to mitigate its negative impact on downstreams. Also, it provides water is low precipetation times.

You should know these are same politicians who says things like " if they take electricity from water then it will not able to grow crops as that water would have lost all its power".

zardari is doing this for his own benefit, kalabagh dam voids sindh of water that it desperately needs and floods parts of KP.

By the time you people will realize importance of this Dam your future generations would be dying of Food and Water shortage. Just to give you an example Karachi and major cities of sindh faces acute water shortage and soon you will cross redline of death and starvation. Sindh is the only looser in this game considering All other provinces have ample supply of water to meet their needs after construction new dams.
