The problem of underage labourer exists, and nobody can disprove it...... Its the negligence of our political and civil establishment which gives people like these to point fingers... At least we will look into these problems now....

At least the "Nobel prize" gave him his due recognisition, much better news then what kareena kappor's churidar brand is.... Most of us didnt even knew about him....

There already are Indians looking into the problem and even recognizing that it was a huge problem. Many have worked hard to eliminate it. Not everybody get recognized or rewarded. Their work is their own reward.

People who want to point finger will ALWAYS find a reason to point finger. Nothing you do will EVER be good enough. People who want to Appreciate you and Respect you will do so irrespective of your many flaws.

Those with dignity and self Respect and a sense of self worth know this and do not seek validation from others. Certainly not from people with a history of bias and prejudices against you. That is just suicidal.

The Nobel prize committee is a self serving private body who has their own agenda. It is certainly not world peace or Nuclear disarmament

What happens even if you know about him ? Are you going to leave your job and join his organization to free children ?

Well to tell you the truth I am unaware of who is working these problems out.... The moment I step out of my room, I meet an underage labour somewhere or the other- the paan shop, the garage, the fast food stall in the corner, the bus helper, the shoe shiner, the train singer...you name a place and they are there.... So sadly though I too want to sing lala gaga things about everything is alright, I cant..... If we dont recognise the problem and keep hiding by saying someone is doing it, there is no way we are going to get rid of it, ever....

What happens even if you know about him ? Are you going to leave your job and join his organization to free children ?

Not leaving my job, just trying to make people aware of the problem... Yesterday I informed my para(local) club against a friendly neighbour who paid 20000 to some agent for a home-help... and this I did while playing carrom there...

Give solutions. Do not try to make a buck by exploiting these deficiencies. Who is hiding? Do these things happen in secret in India? There are 250-300 million poor in India living on less than a dollar a day. Are you in a position to take care of these 300 million people and feed them for free and provide for their needs? Can the Indian govt do it? If not, do not make a tamasha of these things..

Noble prize to one man is not going to change anything

Even tomorrow when you step out you will still meet an under-age labour somewhere or the other, the pan shop, the garage, fat food stall etc. Modi was that under age boy selling tea at his fathers shop. Today he is the PM. Not a slave. Who made that possible ? RSS ?

What will change all that is GOOD GOVERNANCE, EDUCATION and EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES. Now how many of these Holier than thou White nations provide Equal Opportunity for Indians or "slaves" as they now like to call us.

No I read he was Kejriwal supporter. Also his name has been on the Nobel Peace price index for years now. Like they have been incubating him.

Another thing is last year the Islamists and Vatican came together with a proposal to make India free of slavery. You can guess what it would have been. They wanted to collaborate with govt of India for that, but were refused permission by the Indian govt. So I guess this is their way to bring back the issue in public glare again.

Can't disagree with it in a way,scandinavian nations or say the west on a whole has been trying to remain active in India trough NGO or at times exaggarate few issues,make them a global news and stuffs like that.though it could be blamed on the Govt for lettin'em do such things,negligiance of such issues by public servants has led to this aswell.

True chest beating about rapes didnt stop it but it reduced dramatically and media started reporting it more... The people became aware of the problem and started talking about it and stared condemning it more... The police became more serious about it... Strict laws have been made against it...

Hiding the problem aint gonna reduce it... talking more about it does, thats the whole point....

Movies like SM always makes mei wonder why only such movies from India are too often selected for any famous International movie award and not others
