Kachin people and other minorities in Myanmar were cheated by Burmese as they asked for independence from UK. Burmese promised the autonomy and federation, but later destroyed the Panglong accord on minority rights. So all non-Burmese minorities in Myanmar rebelled to get their own rights back.
China is boring about an unstable Myanmar. I really suggest China should send army to set a mandatory cease fire line between Burma and non-Burmese lands.

If I remember correctly, the US and Europe support the Kachin army ,Is USand EU now turn to the Government of Myanmar?
