as usual, you guys miss at least half the problem and mis-state the other half.
Yes first you have to first eliminate terrorism from within Pakistan - it has to start with your military agencies first STOP creating new jihadi nuts; you have to STOP brainwashing your kids at school by removing jihadi material from official curriculum and adding real studies; you must STOP lying to yourself about how Afghans Americans Indians Saudi and Iranians are causing trouble and instead admit it is Pakistan's own monster turning around and biting it int the rear.
Then may be you have a chance to stop failing as a country. You can stop kneeling to whoever the latest donor is. You can stop being laughed at. You can stop being called the most dangerous place on earth. You can stop being the place crazy nuts come to get radicalized and instead actually pump tourism. Even have cricket matches.
Wow, you really buy American and your own government's propaganda wholesale. The beauty on the ground is that nobody feels like Pakistan is failing (other than US and Indian hawks). Everyone is super pumped about CPEC. Investment is increasing. Infrastructure will be massively upgraded. The Middle Class is a force to be reckoned with. You can hardly meet a Pakistani who does not feel very positive about the future. It's amazing.
India does not have a massive porous mountainous border with a country that has known little other than war (like we do with Afghanistan). India's own support of terrorists has been well-documented. Also, you guys elected a right-wing nut as your PM (who was blacklisted from the US earlier). Of course, now that the US needs to prop India up as a buffer to the inevitable dominance of China in the region, Modi is Mr. Nice Guy again. BTW, Pakistan has never elected a super right wing or "Islamist" party to power in the Federal Govt.
Second, the evidence behind the narrative of the ISI's so-called
jihadis turning against the State is relatively slim, despite the media hyperbole. Hafiz Saeed of LeT, for example, does a lot of charity work for Hindus and openly and publicly denounces the concept of
takfeer or coercion in religion. If India really does have proof that he ordered the tragic killing of hundreds of innocent civilians in the form of the Mumbai attacks, I'm surprised it hasn't made it public --- given that it doesn't miss even the slightest chance to malign Pakistan.
Pakistan's main terrorism problems (TTP, Baloch terrorists, LeJ) are
not the result of Pakistan's alleged support of Kashmiri insurgent groups or the Afghan Taliban / Haqqanis. They are a result of a flawed and failed NATO invasion of Afghanistan, Indian money/support via Afghanistan and Gulf funding / the rise of ISIS (reinvigorated the LeJ to undertake high-profile attacks).
I am not saying that Pakistan does not have an extremism or tolerance problem --- it does, and this makes things much easier for our enemies to exploit. The influence of decades of Wahabi/Salafi/Deobandi madrassas is not easy to reverse. But the majority in Pakistan, as can be witnessed during elections, is not in favor of right-wing Islamists. Also, I don't think India (or the US, with its own illustrious history of supporting violent terrorists around the world) is in a position to lecture any other country on State-sponsorship of terrorism OR even how to deal with terrorism (given the size of the force that occupies Kashmir and the fact that India was home to the most bomb blasts two years in a row).
Thanks for your pity, though... but we don't need it
