What's new

Just in: India's Nirbhay cruise missile blasts off from Integrated Test Range, Odisha. Details await

.
The persistence if the person who kept clapping till the very end of video must be appreciated.....

Can this test be classified as partially successful??
he thought it hit the target or was doing some top gun maneuvers little does he know.

Chandrayaan-1 failure? Have you been living under a rock?

Chinese should be ashamed that even with greater budget and more powerful rockets than india they were beaten

Didn't fail huh?

The question is wht is stopping China from going to mars? We have more powerful rockets and Mangal is basically based on Chandy-1. Can you answer this? If you can, then you will see the truth.

:cheesy::cheesy:
Chandrayaan1 failed:cheesy:?
It was the v first to find water on the moon and you called that failed
Yep China has got better rockets and a hell lot more budget to spent in space research and still has not managed to reach Mars shame on you!!
Keep trying anyways

See my reply above. For the past few decades alot of mission claimed to find evidence of water but recently Chang'e-3 said there is none, I hope Chandy-2 can refute this. So did you really find water or you needed a face saving exit by claiming something after the americans claimed it. Will you dare claim it if the American didn't claim it first? Wow just by kicking some dust, walahhh, you found water....how convenient.

Color of the smoke and fire...tells u what type of fuel they are using... any one??

First THIS ISN'T the launch of the cruise missile , please verify your source as you look STUPID posting it! One can easily make out its a satellite launch vehicle!!!!

The video is of a failed launch of the GSLV in 2010

Hans is back to his old trolling self ... please stick to the topic and STOP making a mocking of yourself!

If you want to compare it to something compare it to the tomahawk. In the late 90's tomahawks crashed in Pakistan. Pakistani scientists studied it to the core and probably gave China some information as well.

In 1990, the Bush administration imposed Pressler Amendment sanctions on Pakistan, banning military assistance to Pakistan.

In June 1991, the Bush administration imposed missile sanction laws against SUPARCO and two Chinese firms for missile technology transfers.

The 2005 inaugural test-flight of the Hatf-VII (Babur) cruise missile stunned many observers for its technological complexity and because its development had gone undetected. The extent of foreign assistance remains unclear; analysts identified design similarities with Chinese cruise missiles

There is a difference between a failure and failure after one year of orbiting the moon. Besides within the first year 95% of the probes objectives were met.

Actually there are a number of things stopping china from going to mars. Just because you have a powerful rocket does not mean you can put a orbiter or lander on mars. China lacks:

- Solar panel technology that can generate enough power in mars orbit
- Communication system that can handle data transfer over millions of km
- Propulsion system that can restart after 300 days of inactivity

ISRO spent years developing all this tech before going to mars so to call MOM a chandraayan-1 clone is not only misleading but also incorrect

DRDO continues its tradition with this one. Another failure added to their collection.

Well, no. The majority of recent test have been successes, but it's you who avoid those threads. Especially any ISRO threads, because they've been consistent successes, just know those consistent successes were built on failures.

Mangalyaan is based on Chandrayaan?
Have some proper research first.
Payloads are way different, designs are way different, at first place Chandrayaan carried some foreign payloads meanwhile Mangalyaan had everything home built.

And for Chandrayaan "failure", congrats for quoting NDTV which documents partial failures as complete failures and terrorists as freedom fighters.
If Chandrayaan would have failed completely, it won't be able to beam back images what it did actually.
Spacecraft was damaged before it reached orbit, not failed.

So, if China didn't find anything means that doesn't exist.

Idiot person! How many times I told you?
China/India/US/EU/Japan/Russia all have their deep space networks. India had to use American VLBI because of geography and so is China using EUTEMSAT many times.

And if your claimed reason for China not going to Mars was true, China wouldn't have tried in 2011. China tried in 2011 means China wanted to send the mission and no tracking system problem was stopping China. Chinese attempt of 2011 of Yinghuo-1 ultimately proves you wrong.
So, nothing was stopping China from going on Mars except rocket's failure to leave the orbit. And India? India's success reason was that India decided to use a safer way of transferring orbits instead of hiting Mars orbit directly. That's why Indian Mission was success in first attempt (though, this way took few weeks longer).

Don't argue with me, argue with this guy.

The Mangalyaan spacecraft is based on a modified IRS/INSAT/Chandrayaan-1 bus.

So if a gas turbine worked for half an hour and then failed completely, is it a failure or a partial success? LOL. The Indian mind would call it a partial success. They just can't lose. This is the typical Indian logic, how shitty, how failed their system is, they will still say it is a success.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chang'e_2
As of 2014, Chang'e 2 has travelled over 100 million kilometres from Earth,[11] and is conducting a long-term mission to verify China's deep-space tracking and control systems.[12]

Geographic coverage is one thing, how far you can track and control is another thing my friend. The point is earth moon communications is not an issue for China, therefore we cooperate with the world for joint tracking and comms. Mars is a different thing altogether. Before we can even go further away, we needed this ability, that's why the first Mars mission was done with the Russians.

So if we are already capable of doing it, then why are we still testing it? LOL
