It was a great jet, very nimble and deadly with the right pilots, but it was not technologically superior. It’s IAF counterpart the Hunter was technologically superior as were the MiG 21s and Su7s.i was ones-ed asked my uncle who flew F-86 sabre, he told me during war of 1965 and 1971 F.86 was best and technological advanced than Indians jets.
He was unfortunate because during 65 he newly got married just before war and he was on leave and never allowed to fly a mission despite he reported back and during 1971 he was stationed as ground staff because of his eye sight.
