What's new

Junaid Jamsheed being charged with Blasphemy !!!!

THIS IS AN OWN GOAL
according to this law even begging for forgiveness is not allowed according to Mullas
a rapist n cannibal and a murderer can walk free but not a blasphemer ..

note: the above post can be taken as blasphemy as well.

It has promoted vigilante culture. Why should Aasia Bibi with little kids rot in jail? Are we human beings or not?

Being a majority Muslim country and showing so much insecurity raises questions about our own confusion of identity.

Are you debating the selective implementation of law / the lack of justice being delivered in Pakistan or the Laws themselves? I in few posts back asked the same question but got no answer

"After discarding this law, will it stop someone to kill other, if his religious believes are hurt?"

yes i am

Its a license to kill or abuse non muslims and if they wish to implement than should be fair and applicable to all religions ..people swear at indian bhagwan or budha or christians day in and out but they cant say any thing. What kind of hippocracy is this

confusion is with the faith
how can an act of utter cruelty be used as a justification for love of Muhammad PBUH who Muslims believe to be Rehmat Al Alamin (blessing for all times).

hey we love Muhammad PBUH who was kind to everyone .. since we dont like what you said or "might have said" we will use the same logic like the Wolf used against the deer and will kill you in most brutal way

So you agree that Law is alright but problem is with its implementation?

Believe me, even in the absence of this law, if someone will do blasphemy (be it muslim or non-muslim) he will be killed.

Go try doing hate speech against Hindus gods or slaughter a cow in India, see what happens.

I noted one thing about him, only one thing above all fascinated me, I've come to realise that he's an excellent businessman.
cant fault him on that
making some money and keep preaching as well

even that crisps advert where he tells muslims not to spread rumours about crisps and then enjoys a mouthful

It's not just the flag, the man in your display picture fought the case of ghazi Ilm Deen shaheed who killed a a person who committed open blasphemy against Syedi Rasool(saww). So remove the pic also.
As a lawyer Jinnah's job was to represent people - fighting any particular case does not mean he actually supported Blasphemy laws, nor that he did not change his mind later about them (if he did in fact support them at that point in his life).

In fact, his declaration that Pakistan 'is not to be a theocratic state ruled by priests on a divine mission' clearly points to his rejection of an ideology of backwardness, intolerance and hatred, as represented by the Blasphemy laws in Pakistan and the laws against Ahmadis and those preventing non-Muslims from holding top leadership positions in the government.

.
What "Jahil" about that?
There is a law here, let the law decide if he is guilty or not.

that law is created by jahil qaum.
I can make a law that forbids you to not comment on this forum, but does that mean the law is valid and sensible?
no, of course not.

I support JJ here but Mr read history Jinah was one of the major force behind this law and Jinah was for Islamic Pakistan

How was Jinnah a major force behind Blasphemy laws, and what exactly do you mean by "Islamic Pakistan"?

By "Islamic Pakistan" are you referring to a country whose citizens are primarily Muslim and free to practice their faith (as long as it did not hinder those who practiced other faiths), or are you referring to a theocratic State? If the latter, then Jinnah''s quote in my post above clearly contradicts your assertion.

I am talking about the Blasphemy law introduced by British and Jinah was for Islamic state where Islamic Laws are implemented

Did Jinnah, in a personal capacity, support the Blasphemy laws introduced by the British?

And, again, how do you reconcile the claim that Jinnah wanted "Islamic Laws implemented in Pakistan" with Jinnah's comment of "Pakistan is not to be a theocratic State ruled by priests on a divine mission"?

Going by your logic, all those countries who have laws against blasphemy are "jahil"
Countries with "Laws against denial of Holocaust" are jahil too or they are civilized?

Politely correct him with facts or, if the individual is a "troll", excuse yourself and walk away.

Why is the above so hard to fathom? It's common sense and basic etiquette.
