What's new

Junaid Jamsheed being charged with Blasphemy !!!!

He is a corporate mullah & belongs to a sect whose views on Syedi Rasool(saww) are subject to concerns from the rest of Muslim world.
This law if we talk about has been used wrongly majority of times so should be "reformed". But whoever is against this kind of law completely has no need to say "I am Pakistani & ashamed of this law", no you are not a Pakistani anymore if you have such views, go & buy some paradise dresses from JJ botiques.

Are you swinging both sides, by any chance? :D

.
Mate this is war of two sects and blasphemy is their weapon. Muslims can dominate world if they get rid of these sects division and become one nation. But huh people are declaring other kaffir because of there personal gains no one is seriously following true islam.

Thank you altaf bhai.

Freedom of expression and freedom of displeasure. Both acts of different individuals, what does the country has to do with that.

What a jahil country!

Pakistan also feels ashamed when you call yourself Pakistani.

Pakistan police investigate former pop star for blasphemy
A video of Junaid Jamshed’s comments went viral over the weekend

Police in Pakistan opened a blasphemy investigation on Tuesday against a former pop star turned Muslim after he was caught on camera making allegedly disparaging remarks about one of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)’s wives.

Blasphemy is a hugely sensitive issue in the mainly Muslim country. The law is often invoked against minorities and the poor by those wishing to settle personal scores, according to rights groups.

Junaid Jamshed, by contrast, is a wealthy high-profile member of the Tablighi Jamaat — a Sunni organisation known for its rigidly conservative views.

A video of the former lead singer of the 1980s band ‘Vital Signs’, in which he appears to make negative remarks about the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)’s youngest wife Ayesha to make a broader point about women’s inherent flaws, went viral over the weekend and led to the police case.

“We have filed a blasphemy case against Junaid Jamshed in Rasala police station on the orders of Justice Ahmed Saba of the district court,” FaheemAl Deen Sheikh, spokesman for the Sunni Tehreek religious organisation, told AFP from the southern city of Karachi.

Mohammad Shafique, a police official at Risala police station in Karachi, confirmed the incident.

Jamshed, 50, had earlier released a video on Facebook in which he admitted he had erred and pleaded emotionally for forgiveness.

“This is my mistake and it happened because of my ignorance and lack of knowledge and I seek forgiveness from the Muslim world,” he said.

“I request my brothers to forgive me and I am thankful to them for pointing out my mistake, it happened unintentionally and I seek forgiveness from Allah.”

Before joining the Tablighi Jamaat, Jamshed was one of Pakistan’s best loved pop singers, famous for hits in the 1980s such as ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’.

Now bearded and seen in traditional attire, he often appears on TV adverts to give products a religious endorsement, and also runs a chain of fashion boutiques.

He frequently makes appearances on television, and has previously said women should not drive nor venture out of the home without a male guardian.

The number of blasphemy cases being lodged with police in Pakistan has been steadily rising in recent years. Even unproven allegations often prompt mob retribution.

On November 4 a Christian bonded labourer and his pregnant wife were beaten by a mob of 1,500 people then thrown on top of a lit furnace in a crazed reaction to rumours they had thrown pages of Quran into the garbage.

A Christian woman sentenced to death for blasphemy has been languishing on death row for four years following a trial that activists say was deeply flawed.

I know. This is a very jahil law.

I m against this law and its used to persecute people. I m against this law as it promotes vigilante culture. This is what I define as jahalat.
What if there is no law, will it stop someone to kill other, if his religious believes are hurt?

I noted one thing about him, only one thing above all fascinated me, I've come to realise that he's an excellent businessman.

I think he is the most successful businessman among the famous-turned-molvi stars of Pakistan (Ali Haider, Inzi, Najam Sheraz?, Saeed Anwar etc).

But personally I hate his kurtas. Too expensive and tacky. I see men wearing purple/orange kurta in Pindi/Isb lol.

.
I think its warning from Allah, that his tongue slipped and he is getting humiliated, a while ago he was praising abomination like MQM.

I think his mistake was unintentional , thats how non-aalim tablighis speak........if videos of every illiterate tablighis giving bayans are aired, they are ridiculous and incorrect and would get the blasphemy tag. Note that in tablighi jamaat, you are discouraged from preparing for bayan from some written material. I think JJ was intending to deliver 'spitually' cute story, what got across was equating scholarly Um-ul-Momineen Hazrat Ayesha with just another "tairrhi pasli"......Nauzubillah

There are videos of green-turbaned barelwis, greeting all hyped up, suggesting Mamataz qadri's action against him......................my question for them, why dont they issue same fatwas against their shia comrades who consider it sawab to call names to Hazrat Ayesha R.A?......by using the same logic, every shia in pakistan should be hanged upside down for disrespecting Hazart Ayesha R.A

Stop trying to incite violence against the shia community, you ignorant fool.

And the abuse of this stupid, stupid and utterly medieval and regressive law continues ...

Let judiciary to work and decide.. Jahil nhi its Law here.
It is a Jahil law, passed by Jahil politicians and supported by an equally Jahil clergy and populace.

Agreed - this is something I refuse to hold back on (in terms of criticizing Pakistan) when talking about Pakistan with non-Pakistanis.

Whatever the blasphemy law is in Pakistan, if its used for all non-muslims + shias, then I want this molvi to be tried under the same law. After all, no one is above the law.

THIS IS AN OWN GOAL
according to this law even begging for forgiveness is not allowed according to Mullas
a rapist n cannibal and a murderer can walk free but not a blasphemer ..

note: the above post can be taken as blasphemy as well.

The strange thing is, how the other molvi's rushed for JJ's support after his remarks about Hazrat Ayesha (R.A). Instead of issuing fatwas against him, they just said that JJ should repent and ask for forgiveness. That's all.

I mean seriously? Had any non-muslim / shia done same thing, killing him would have been considered as a perfect way to reach Jannat.

. . .
What "Jahil" about that?
There is a law here, let the law decide if he is guilty or not.

Are you talking about the same law and judges who punish weak and non influential people with impunity BUT when it comes to real murderers , corrupt politicians , generals or jihadis and sectarian murderers tab woh dum tango main daba kar bhag jatey hain !!?

I noted one thing about him, only one thing above all fascinated me, I've come to realise that he's an excellent businessman.

Its all about money
