If it had anything to do with whats best for Pakistan, then this untimely dharna is the last thing Pakistan can afford at the moment.
It has distracted attention from Kashmir.
Instead of moving at the behest of his international sponsors, If Moli Fazlu had any common sense, then waiting for people to rise up due to inaction on Kashmir and increasing economic hardship in comming weeks would have been a far better time to start such politics after waiting for peak winter season to pass along with growing unrest due to a hard winter season.
The plan, the back channels that having business partners like Jindals of India makes possible all the more, was to create political upheaval in Pakistan to disrract attention from Kashmir but the plan hatched in panic.
Maryam was to lead the demonstrations in Punjab but her arrest made the cat rabid which instigated plan B in haste. Moli Saheb is trying his best as Plan B but PPP is not willing to go beyond securing Zardari and Co...then there is also the Shahbaz Factor...resulting in a tie down Rahber Committee agreement that rendered tge dharna toothless.
Now all Maryam, Fazlu and India can hope for is a blunder by security forces in gifting a few dead bodies or else the drama is all but over even before getting to Islamabad.

The opposition Rahber committee, Shahbaz and Bilawal Zardari, have all but rendered the Dharna toothless in agreement with the Government that was signed and sealed with District Administration.
Both PPP and PMLN are no political imbeciles as Fazlu is hell bent on forcing them to become but have kept Fazlu in check.
How but more importantly, why?
The large part of the answer lies within the need for Dharna by Fazlu.
Fazlu was becoming irrelevant in politics.
At the same time, opposition politics was left with a complete void that needed filling.
Enter the Moli Fazlu!
By jostling the initiative of leading the opposition politics from the two leading opposition parties, JUIF has created an opportunity to become the leading voice and player of opposition.
This resurgence politics of demonstration and challenging sitting government has the potential to give not just a new lease of life to Fazlu but has propelled him from oblivion to the front driving seat.
If the above is not enough, the added monitary benefits of Dharna politics discovered by Halva Molvis in smuggling unregistered cars into major cities of Pakistan from tribal areas is a hither to unknown monitary gold mine, useful in not just sustenance but election politics for years to come.
The other part of the answer about why PPP and PMLN want to control the Fazlu March as per their interests.
As well as being a struggle against sitting government, It is also an internal struggle for remaining or attaining top dog position between PMLN PPP AND JUIF.
Whoever leads, will be able to wield far more political milage for personal benefit.
Conceeding too much political space to JUI-F may end up hurting the position of give and take of PPP and PMLN.
PMLN Nawaz faction has become the biggest supporter and sponsor of JUIF surpassing Zardari and Bilawal. This does not sit well with the PPP leadership and Bilawal who has been marginalized by JUIF in its own March posters and that on Main Container:

This internal politics of opposition has only enhanced mistrust between parties as each party looks to consolidate its own bargaining position over and above the other.
