They don't want to get bogged down, and Iraqi army, along with the Kurds, seem to finally be taking back territory during ground operations. There is simply no need, nor desire to launch a ground attack, as they don't want to get trapped like the US did. Likewise, the Iraqis don't want foreign boots on the ground, as it may end up causing even more problems, with nationalists forming more militant groups to fight the foreign forces, whom they would consider invaders.Have Turkey, Iran and Jordan given up on Iraq and Syria? Why no concerted foot soldier campaign? Air attacks will only push them into their holes, from where they will come back out afterwards.
