Jordan or Yemen?

I heard that Yemen's GDP is about 90% oil and that it will run out in 2017

I'd say Yemenis are soft people, easily awed by foreigners (Pakistanis are treated like how Middle Eastern countries treat white people), and too lazy to amount any sort of movement. A few of them, like the Bin Ladens, that too Osama Bin Laden only is the major exception. So if AQ has gotten its roots there it wouldn't easily find local support in huge numbers although if AQ brings in its support from outside, it won't find much resistance either (the recent anti-AQ drive is foreign sponsored so it seems to be making a lot of noises).

If major fighting breaks out in any of these three Middle Eastern countries, the US would be stepping in.

I'd say the lack of progress in the country and the amount of poverty and corruption would make it possible for AQ or other extremist group to recruit just about the number of fighters they need. A couple of 100s fighter who don't give a ***'s behind is plenty to create havoc. Another thing, is remember Yemen's proximity with Somalia would make things 2x as complicated
