Jordan arrests 8 activists for opposing the King

He is a friend of the West. Therefore he has friends in high places, which in turn helps the King to stay in power.

Gaddafi had none, Assad is loosing fast.
He really needs to go.

There is nothing like democracy , its about power hungry people getting the power and suppressing the people with it.

Be it American who are biggest democrazies but see what happened when a person expressed his thought against the regime , he was sent to psychic ward so that he can be made psychic and see what happened when people protest against wall street, alot of other examples are there.

It is just the name doesnt matter call it democracy or dictatorship it really doesnt matter everyone is the same.Unless the person ruling have the pain of the people , unless the leader have what it take to come down to the level of people are provide them with every possible comfort he can, until then keep shouting for democrzy or dictatrship in the end both are going to eat u up one way or the other.

Excuse me, but are you stupid. How many time do we have to clarify that NO Arab country asked for democracy in Syria. It was always regime change & Assads out, NOT democracy.

You guys are supporting FSA for so called democracy which actually is just another chapter in your sunni shia war..... which claimed thousands of life so far... and more are coming....thanks to people like you.

Why would the 'perfect' Hashemite Kingdom experience over 5,000 demonstrations? What is there to demonstrate about the half-British king who is a servant of the West, whose wife wears revealing clothes in public and whose private life, if revealed to the public, would be strongly rejected, where nightclubs operate as freely as in Bashar Al Assad's Syria, where the hereditary "King" has all the power including the power to disband the powerless parliament anytime that he wants, and appoint figurehead PM or other ministers?

Can some desert king's supporter explain why would there be over 5,000 protests/demonstrations in 1.5 years against such a 'perfect' king?

It's not that anyone cares about your tiny insignificant poor primitive country , Jordanian. It's just that that we people , from more advanced , democratic societies will find it weird that there are countries still so primitive and backward , that they are ruled by monarchs. And apply the none of your business principle when you troll in kashmir related issues. That piece of land is four times the size of your tiny country , and is not covered in desert ,waste and rocks , unlike yours.

Your president is a slut, but no one ever has any problems about that right? So why do you care about arab kings' personal life, theyre humans too.
I live in the UAE and I support everything the king does, true story.

Care to explain that......with facts??

This is the confusion. Why arrest them? When Assad arrested people, it was criticized by everyone. I in no way support anyone, but doesn't this amount to oppression?

I wish Jordan well, they have other problems to deal with, but this would be a new problem now. Some refugees would also make situation problematic for the kingdom state.
