Joint venture Agreement signed between HIT and German companies

Pakistan cannot afford German equipment. They are ridiculously overpriced.

You can get topnotch armoured vehicles, rifles and more from Turkey at considerably lower costs.

For example, MKEK MPT 76 will cost us around 2k vs HK 417's market price of 10k.

Similarly, you can get Tulpar IFV for $3 million vs $8-9 million for German puma.

True, but you get what you pay for, and the Germans aren't known for giving up easily. They'll fight tooth and nail for a deal.

First I thought it will be subsystems but they are less likely to be JV. It might well be an entirely new vehicle with subsystems from Germany and some local manufacturing and final assembly. I don't think they will agree for JV on their most advanced subsystems.

Unless its engine or jet development its useless project

And a JV for HIT produced Tuplar along with UMTAS Anti-Tank Missile will make MUCH MUCH more sense. Specially considering the fact that UMTAS will also fill in other anti-tank missile needs if produced at home and wedo need a modern anti-tank missile. Best option for me will be to sign a joint deal for both IFV and the missile and produce these at home.
This brings a lot more to the table then the much expensive Puma does.
