Can i ask why most Indians seem to try to be together and associated with China so much? It seems some are really scared , they want friendship and also want to be associated with them all the time . I never seen this from Chinese members here . Examples , this thread , other threads like India and China growing powers , We should work together etc , i never seen this from a chinese poster.

This isnt a troll post , this is what i observed.

Indians think because they have a similar population to ours, that somehow they are our equal. Well then Indonesia should compare themselves to US. Indians are very insecure people, they want the approval of the white man. Since we are getting the attention, they want to be just like us to get the same attention as we get. They desperately want the recognition that we are getting.
They for some crazy reason believe, they are a destined superpower. Heck not even we believe that we are a superpower.
The west don't respect India because India follows everything the west tells them to do but Indians don't get respected.
We do as we like, the west hates us, but respects our power.

Wrong again.

According to the BBC Country Rating polls (and the Pew Global Research polls).... China is viewed more positively worldwide than BOTH the EU and the USA.

And needless to say, all three are ranked FAR above India.

If you check wikileaks, you"ll realize both Indian and Chinese leaders mostly advocate the bolded part.

Some Chinese and Indian members think different.

Peace between China and India is not a choice for both nations, its a must.

Stop trying to piggyback on our success. India as a country is a massive failure with shameful power outages, starving children, poverty, etc.

China's economy was $1.9 Trillions in 2004, so basically they are 8 years ahead of us.

Your maths is bad. Firstly, dollars are not worth the same today as they were in 2004, nowhere close.

Secondly, check the GDP ratios through time:

1990 - China GDP : India GDP - 1 : 1
2000 - China GDP : India GDP - 2 : 1
2010 - China GDP : India GDP - 4 : 1

So in fact the gap is WIDENING every day, which makes sense. Since we have a much larger base economy ($7.3 trillion) and are also growing much faster in percentage terms. And India is now slowing down to 5.3% growth as well.

Hell, even the USA growing at only 1% a year (with a $15 trillion economy) adds more to its economy every year than India does.
