It amazes me that people go on and on about the AQ Khan episode. Have you all ever thought that maybe what was done had the agreement of AQ Khan for the sake of Pakistan? What if Musharraf had not placed him under house arrest (essentially securing him) and in a covert manner he had been compromised? What would have become of the Pakistani state secrets and the compulsions under which the covert nuclear program was conducted?

So what is all this talk of the US agent? How is Musharraf or anyone else a US agent? Was he planted? Was he sent by the Americans to rule over Pakistan? Lets get off this insanely stupid conspiracy theory and American agent plot for a change please.

Musharraf did what he thought was the right thing to do. Along came 9/11 and he was able to converge Pakistani interests with those of the US. Mistakes were made (as they always are everywhere in the world of geo-politics). NS and Bhutto in their own times made plenty of mistakes.

Thanks alot for the information brother. Well i would also go against NRO but thing is to be honest with you our public is jahaleen. Look we couldnot produce not even one leader in all this time. All we see parties going divided. What i belive is the best for pakistan is that no body can run more then 2 time and can't run in primeminister ship hopey more then 1 time which means you only have one chance if you prove yourself you become the prime minister and then you have the same chance in next elections but if you are prime ministership hopy and lost to convaince the public then you are out. Agreed. We tend to forget the need for introspection. If we start doing more of that then we can actually start fixing things instead of feeling sorry for ourselves all the time. AQ Khan episode happened, now move on. No need to make the guy the President (as the opportunist from hell Nawaz Sharif is calling for).
