New Delhi: JNU student Umar Khalid has now come up with a very controversial remark. Khalid on Saturday called Burhan Wani, the militant commander who was gunned down on Friday night; a revolutionary.

Khalid in his Facebook post said, “I don’t care if I fall as long as someone else picks up my gun and keeps on shooting. These were the words of Che Guevara, but could have just been Burhan Wani’s too”

He added by praising Wani for his bravery and said, “Burhan wasn’t scared of death, he was scared of a life lived in subjugation. He detested it. He lived a free man, died a free man. Doomed is the occupation! Indian state, how will you defeat a people who have defeated their own fears?”

The statement by Khalid has raised several eye brows. Even earlier Khalid was in news in connection with the February 9 event where allegedly “anti-national” slogans were allegedly raised in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus.

The University on April 25, 2016 rusticated Umar Khalid along with 3 more students. Khalid was rusticated for one semester and was also a fine of Rs 20,000 was levied on him.

Kashmir on Saturday was rocked by widespread mob violence and clashes which left 10 people dead and more than 200 injured, including 96 security forces personnel, even as authorities imposed curfew-like curbs and suspended mobile internet services to contain the fallout of gunning down of militant commander Burhan Wani.

Umar Khalid compares Burhan Wani with Che Guera, says he was scared of a life lived in subjugation

New Delhi : JNU student Umar Khalid, known for his involvement in the sedition controversy during which he was detained by the Delhi police along with Anirban Bhattacharya and charged with sedition, compared Hizbul commander Burahna Wani with Che Guera.

“I don't care if I fall as long as someone else picks up my gun and keeps on shooting. These were the words of Che Guevara, but could have just been ‪#‎BurhanWani's too” said Umar Khaild in a Facebook post.

He also said that “Burhan wasn't scared of death, he was scared of a life lived in subjugation”.

It may be recalled that violence erupted spontaneously in south Kashmir districts of Anantnag, Pulwama, Shopian and Kulgam and later spread to other districts in the valley after security forces killed top Hizbul commander Burhan Wani and two of his associates in Bamdoora (Kokarnag) village of Anantnag district on Friday.

So far 11 people were killed in the protest and as many as 200 were injured.

This monkey is still around? Who gave him bail?

. .
Is he not violating his bail terms by making provocative public statements? Indian law is not just blind..it's dumb & deaf as well when it comes to dealing with left wing lunatics such as this roland rat!

.
I have always believed that Lefty lunatics expose themselves very soon. Would be nice to see the defenders of lefites try to defend this.

Thank god that he compared wani to Che, main stream media anchors are comparing wani to Bhagat Singh. Although I wonder is there no Idol to draw a parallel from the ideology he followed? Why they need kafir idols?
