Judeo Christian ties is the main thing that binds Israel and the U.S. together. Not some Jewish lobby effort. Israel also enjoys strong support and economic benefits. becuase they have proven themselves to be more of a friend. then any other Arab nation in the area.

America was founded on the principle of freedom of religion. And Christianity was the main force behind that. when people saw Israel come into existence as a country after approximately 2000 years. as was prophesied long before Islam was even a religion. They are going to show favor to them. As I have said before on this forum. The fight with the Jews and Muslims is a religious one. No Muslim country will ever be victorious against Israel in driving them out. They hold God's favor.

And before you make the argument that it was man and not God that gave them Palestine. Know this God uses men a lot of the time in orchestrating events. You may see the battle as not over. and you are right. there is a large battle coming but just as with every other attempt to destroy Israel. it will not succeed. Nor will the U.S. stand by and allow anyone to try and destroy them. If this causes Muslim countries to hate the U.S. then so be it.

We may be in bad state as Muslim nation now, but if i remember correctly Christianity & Jewish nations had their dark ages too, when we were at the time at our height of civilization. Every nation has its time, our time will come again, no worries .

it was already over. he was convicted in 2002 of taking bribes, racketeering, and tax evasion. He got out of prison this year. You can see the bitterness in him when he talks.

You are mistaken if you think that Islam was a new faith that started 1500 years ago. If you read a little more about Islam then you would know that we also believe in Adam(AS), Moses (AS),Abraham(AS),Solomon (AS), David(AS) and Jesus(AS) among other Holy Prophets. However, that is a separate discussion altogether.

Interesting comment Thomas. now can you point out exactly HOW has Israel proven to be a good friend for USA? I would rather say that US tax payers are paying all that aid to Israel and getting absolutely nothing but trouble in return. Israel has no value to the USA!!
USA is the only developed country where majority of the population is in the grips of a fervent religious sycophancy. Never have I seen a people of a developed nation who so blindly cling to their religion and fight vehemently for its incorporation into the state machinery.

Why is that God favors only one group of people over others if He/She is so benevolent and all loving? If so then the whole concept of Judeo-Christian ideology is crap, to say the least. Apparently all humans are not equal, so the basis of US constitution (the very first lines!) is all a fallacy if it is based on Christian values!
Jews and Muslims are more closer to their belief system than Jews and Christians! And yet so many ideological differences/conflicts exist that they are ready to go at each others throats at the drop of a pin! Its a deep rooted mistrust between two groups when their rulers used religion as an instrument of the state. History is replete with instances when religion used as a state policy has led to the ruin/decay of that state! And boy, does History ever repeat itself!

Ah, so God promises a piece of land to three different groups of people, instructs them through his Prophets (all three religions have the very same prophets) to follow different ideologies, setting them on a sure path of conflict. All hell breaks lose and HE/She sits back to enjoy the spectacle?

That land has passed hands numerous times through the ages. The powerful hold control over it and the weaker keep fighting for it. So maybe the Muslims will one day wrest control of the land, again, and then the weakened Jews-Christians will keep fighting for that land once again. Empires rise and fall, the more meteoric the rise the more spectacular the fall!!
Keep religion out of the State matters, its best controlled by Imams, Rabbis, Priests and Pope/Ministers/Fathers! Let them be.
